Well actually with god mode on you still seem to feel pain (put god mode on and walk through fire or something), you just don't take damage.
But then again, pain is just a warning that you're doing something that'll damage your body... So when you (or your body) finally learnt that you simply can't be damaged any more, you'd probably be able to ignore pain pretty much indefinately, or just not feel it at all.

I'm torn between having noclip and give commands. I'd probably take the give command if I wasn't limited to just a certain weapon or vehicle to give, what good would it do if I could only spawn a shotgun forever, aside from putting most shotgun companies out of buisness by flooding the market (note to self).

In order to become a black belt in one of hte forms of Martial Arts (I cannot for hte LIFE of me remember what it is right now) you must hold a red hot iron bar for as long as it takes for it to cool down without having any outward sign of pain... to do this, mental preparation is done to "block" out the pain receptors... it's quite possible, and I can do this to SOME degree... To be fair though, that's a minor irritation. I doubt the same logic can be applied to walking through fire or something.
