WTH...
Ok, so I'm playing NS, and I knock my phone off the desk. I reach down to pick it up and i toss it on top of the computer on accident. The screen faces near me, and I see that there is no bars on the battery meter, just like the phone's beepin has been lettin me know for a while.
So I continue playing and all of a sudden, my computer shuts off. However, the yellow light on my Dell computer (yea yea) is on.
I push the power button. No dice.
I pull the plug to see if theres power still going to it, and to stop it. The yellow light is on after removing the powercord.
I plug it back in, wait, then hit the switch for the plu its in. Yellow light is still on.
I unplug it and remove my phone away from my computer. The light goes off.
I am now able to start my computer.
I am weirded out, and then I look at my phone. Its now halfway charged.
What happened? Did the phone drain power from the computer? No way that could happen, because I have left electronical devices on my computer before. I just dont get it.
Just thought I would share my time of weirdedoutness.

What model phone is it?
You can play tricks on foolish nerds now.
Vampirephone FTW.
It would be cool to have a phone that you could use to take the internet hostage with, though.

It's a terrorist! Aleart the Terror Aleart Van!
Well, I do drop it alot, it also stays in my pocket where it keeps a tuba mouthpiece company (so it gets banged around by the mouthpiece). Could it be payback?
The phone is an LG Model: C1300.
Now, whats really weird is what its been doing when it rings. Its on my side of the dorm's desk, and when it rang, my roomies speakers (my roomie, by the way, is MIA) start to do that buzz thing as if the phone was right next to them. The phone is about 7+ feet away from his speakers. I am freaking out.
Right now, I have the phone taped to the wall on the side of the room with no electronics. I have separated the battery from it until I need to use it. I may contact my cellular provider tomorrow.
Dude, this is really f'ed up. I'm scared. Good thing I don't have a pacemaker or whatever, though.
<evil laugh>
Or well... Listen to a Crazy Man (Necrosis) laugh.
kill the phone man. just, kill it, and soon, before its to late.
That question is best left unanswered. Needless to say, pleasure was derived by him in some manner.
That's thinking that'll let you survive a horror movie rather than be one of the dumb blondes that bites it early on.
Yes you should be gratfull it did not do any damage to your computer if you read instructions most things (pc ) say not to keep them near other pc bits like my mouse (the uber laser mouse) it says to keep 15 inces awy from any electricly stuff (its cordless)
(second, it's pretty lame that the world s natch is censored)
My speakers occasionally make a distinctive noise just before I get an SMS or phone call, with the phone on the desk near them. Like, two or three seconds before the phone beeps.
PC -> Phone
Phone -> PC
zing! The PC encounters an unexpected power turbulence and crashes.
/me runs

Have to agree. I've requested it be removed from the swear filter.

Quoted for Truth.
My monitor was doing all kinds of crazy stuff, it was bending and changing colours and I thought it was about to explode. Then I looked down at these magnets my brother had left on the desk.. DUH!

Once in class we were watching a movie, and it made that noise, and I said, "SOMEONE HAS A CELLPHONE!" and then a few seconds later a cellphone rings. awesome.
and the teacher yelled a lot at the kid.
