Anyone play?
I recently took up AO again, and I was wondering if anyone else played?
I'm playing on the Rimor server as a lvl 11 Martial Artist that I made before I started playing WoW and may start a new character.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone played.
It's free, and a pretty good game for being free.

Agreed.
when all you had to do to get a team was pop over to RBB (yes, I am an evil corp bastd) and ask.
now it is next to impossible.
"buy a gun, Kill a clanner today"
Why? I've noticed that many people judge it too soon.
I enjoyed playing on the low low levels, although I still haven't really gotten the hang of getting a lot of money. Well, actually, I know how it's done, but I dread having to do it, because as I said, I'm not a fan of the "grind".
I think I got to level 34 as a Doctor when I really started to get tired of the game. My computer chokes in areas with multiple enemies, so the subway and Temple of the Three Winds killed my framerates. Playing missions was fun, but finding people to play missions was hard.
I've been entertaining myself with healing and buffing the new users who come to the mainland, and it's been fun. Unfortunately, the people who I've found to be honorable don't entertain themselves the same way, and are so high leveled now I can't go on missions with them any longer.
I've tried restarting, and found the game to be even less fun now that I'm no longer a new user to the game. The missions are too transparently similar. Few players, aside from those who hang out in the bars and dance on tables, actually want to role-play in the servers. Most often they're trying to sell something or ask for buffs/a wrangle/credits. Few people want to go on missions. Most want to go to the subway and/or Temple of the Three Winds, where they expect me to heal them, but rarely try to protect me from being killed. I've had too many problems with the playerbase to make the rather mundane setting of the game entertaining.
When the game is fun, it's fun. Most often though, I'm finding it boring.
Some are fun for a while, like runescape, terrible combat system so I ended up mining and trading. My mining lvl was way higher than anyone else of a similar overall level. But I was also getting filthy rich. Literaly. I was trading mostly coal.
And of course when someone flooded the general store markets w/ 10000's of a sigle item, I bought up tons and then sold to specialty shops and players for 100's% profit. That was pretty cool. Then I got bored and quit. I haven't yet found a MMO game where I can do the same but with out the incredibly boring times inbetween making bling.
then it became a lvl grind (i was lvl 60 some thing crat i believe)
any how i went back to it and thought wow this is rather poop the gfx now show there age (i know they are being updated) the game play still isnt that great sorry it might of once been good but now sorry its not
why do you think it is free becuase they are getting desprate
and there's nooo way its worse than neocron.. that game was just O_O
once i find some time ill get back to playing it, might even get shadowlands over summer to try out those other classes
I was horrified by the character creation, confused by the 'crash' which was so disjointed and badly done it took me a few seconds to realise what was supposed to be happening and the controls/interface seem to be designed either by aliens of a team of 5 year olds who'd eaten a whole box of crayons :s
After getting to the beach and tentatively trying out combat I found myself clicking the uninstall button ^^;
I did get pretty good at building implants in AO. The Prima guide wasn't good for much but it was invaluable for implant creation. I have a number of Excell spreadsheets for this if you want them.
I screwed up a bit nearer the start, but didn't want to restart
