Aliens V Human Balance Ratio

i hate everyone
Ok, i have something to say about the over exesive power of the aliens. First The Onos, and thats all i have to say about them, then there is that gas thing, thats stupid, and then the cloaking, GOD. The aleins absorbs to much damage making it practicly undistrucible, and it almost always has a 1 hit kill on humans, and thats at like level 1 or 2 of the aliens, the humans at there strongest doesnt stand a chance. This unbalance of the powers causes much frustration in the game, making it very little fun for those stuck on the marine side. Almost everygame im in all people talk about is how they pump clips of shotgun ammo into one alien and they dont die, or they empty a HGM on one, and they dont die. Im not saying this as a crying noob. I have been playing this since it came out. So i know what im talking about.
And so everyone knows this is just a rant, im not calling an uprise or anything, and im not telling anyone to stop playing this game, cause im still gonna play, the NS game is fun, i enjoy it alot, just wanted to say that the Alien : Marine powers is unbalanced.

Don't make ranting topics about it.
I can't argue with that logic.

Its all about rates....
If you want to read my suggestion about rates look for it. I am sick of making a suggestion, that most people agree on, but nearly noone has something to say about it. This whole community is completely clueless about the impact that rates have on the actual gameplay. Ever played NS on a lan? Rines kicked **** in all 3betas and in 3f its a good 55-45
Up until about two months ago, I never heard the word "rate" mentioned on the forums or in-game. Now I can't go three rounds without someone crying "nice rate manipulation, cheater" or "jeez dude fix your rates" because they skimmed over a post on the forums or heard someone mention it elsewhere.
I'd bet money that the people being accused of rate manipulation have no idea what it is, and the people pointing the finger either. It's just a big excuse for why you were killed. Luck? Skill? No support? Overwhelming odds? Lag? No, certainly not.. someone must be switching their rates around and phasing through bullets!
While the numbers certainly suggest that a lone HMGer should be able to kill an Onos regardless of upgrades on either side, everyone knows that has never been the case. When you're running around, or the enemy is, you MISS. The bullets fly everywhere because the spray isn't amazingly tight. When you jetpack around there's a whole extra dimension for you to miss in.
No one with intelligence has ever claimed that Marines should be able to solo higher lifeforms, regardless of their equipment and upgrades. It's been part of the game since the earliest Alphas: Marines alone die. Marines in groups live. Work together with your team.
Personally I would like to see the cost of cloak rasied to 2 since it is pretty much lamer then focus/silence ATM and takes practically no skill to use. Also the cost of HA should be reduced back to 1. There is NO WAY IN HELL an HA is as useful as a JP in a combat game. All the HA's are just nubs. If it ABSOLUTLY MUST still be the same point cost branch HA off armor 3 rather then armor 2. At least then the things are slightly less useless.
Also i can kill aliens without to much difficulty in NS and CO and i've never altered the rates in my life.
In NS even if your a JPer fully upgraded you'll still probably die to a skilled lerk due to the differences between CO and NS.
As somebody said if your alone you'll probably die but in a team your chances of living go up.

Your joking right? It's part of the game and if you learn how to counter these things it gets less difficult. Keep in mind marines and aliens play differently as do their counters. The marine counter against onos is JP+hmg. Counter against lerks are shotties, and against gas are heavies\medspam. Counter against cloaking (sensory) is scan, observatories, motion tracking, and staying with the group.
NS is a whole different animal than co.
Aliens do have the advantage right now, but the game is fairly evenly matched when you have a skilled marine team. Just keep playing, you'll find these good games (though they don't come around very often.)
Good luck with your grammar, as well.
I see fades with 20000 rate and 15 updaterate its ridiculous, you get hardly any reg on them and not just in pubs iv seen well skilled players in matches against low rate bastards, its a joke. And people saying "enough with the rates" doesnt help, iv helped people with their rates and they are like wow what a difference.

Every paragraph explodes with ignorance, its cute.
There is a difference between missing completely, and missing because the targets system didnt recieve the hit, a complete miss will not show blood or play an impact sound on your client, the latter will.

^^ In what context, public? All sticking with a team in public achieves is having your shots blocked, by people who can't aim, because they strafe infront of you like idiots.
It never fails, they WILL strafe right between you and the target...
Says it all.

Sorry for the double
Well rates do effect pub play more than cal simply because there are no rules for rates on pubs. And personally i am sick that i need at least ex_interp 0.05 to see most players smooth. Keeping in mind that cl_updaterate is default 20 and you need to console ot config files to change it i am seeing way too much people with low cl_updaterate out there. A high one is not that worse, although it messes up with their reg a little bit, because their ex_interp wont match their serverlimitated cl_updaterate.
Using ex_interp 0 and cl_updaterate 101 is shurely fine an a server with sv_maxupdaterate 101, but not on average joes pub with sv_maxupdaterate 30

use a 3rd-party server browser, like the all-seeing eye

edit: Saying 'that gas thing' in your first post really makes people doubt about your non-newbie-ness (i know its not a word but dont bugger me about it).

Anyone that knows his way around NS would know the name of spores, really. Get some more experience and then come back.

Pwned?
Regardless. This has been brought up countless times in the past. If you use the 'Search' function, as you're supposed to before posting a 'new' topic, you likely would have found them.
As such, this will receive the 'short' reply I've affected so often, as of late.
Adapt.
