<div class="IPBDescription">Water by relic</div>I got some lovely looking water reflection textures from relic today so I snapped off a few pictures of my mini-sub bay.

Level 1s can jump up from on-top of the sub and grab the roof, and they stick even over the bumbs of the tracks.

    nice, i like the water, however, the sub is too yellow, try to change that a bit and it should be near perfect <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    I agree that it shouldn't be rusty, but maybe add some coloured stripes to the sub? Or some panels and markings? Just something to break up the constant yellow <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    Ah yes good point there yama, there are some steps and warning labels on the upper half of it but the shots don't show that too well, also if i add any details to the areas where the water reflection effect is then thats another set of textures that will need to be used eating up more valuable texture memory.

    I'll make some more labels and put them in the gaps between the motor pods.

    Really, really nice effect. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    The construction of the sub looks great too. Just curious, how big is that thing? In comparison to a person...

    Can't wait to see more of this level!

    well the waterreflextion texture looks good but since it's positioned over a grate floor shouldn't it be checkered?

    Ps ever played relic's de_deep6? It has a nice sub <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    Yes i've played deep6 and thats were the idea is from, relic actually made the textures i'm using (i think i already said so).

    The subs about 2x the height of a marine.

    Hmm, I like the sub...
    But. I think it looks a little too lego-ish.  As in, a bit too blocky.  It's cool and all, but I think that if you have extra planes and texture resources to burn when you're done, you should consider smoothing it out a bit.
