So I've been thinking about something. This forum seems to be populated by fairly intelligent people. Do you think it would be feasible to set up some sort of sign up, and then have two teams of people play a game of chess on the forum over the course of a few weeks? If so, how should it be done? Just whoever on the the team posts first? Should they all have to vote on a move? Simple majority vote? Complete agreement? Moo?

    Eh, i'm not sure... Way too many factors to do a legit chess match over the net.

    Who's to say they're not just running Deep Fritz in the background, picking out the best possible moves?

    If anything a tournament style bracket of people would be cool with individual matches.

    That could work. Just one thread per match in the RPG forums or something, and they can make a move right after the other person does.

    As for the use of computers, well, we'd kind of have to go on the honor system.

    I think it'd be interesting to have a really long drawn out game of chess. It's the opposite of speed chess, so everyone gets ridiculous amounts of time to think not only to plan your next move, but also worry about whether your opponent has spotted your mistakes.

    lets use www.chessworld.net ? I'm not sure how you go about setting tourneaments up but I am sure you can (you might not like the idea that you're allowed 5 days (or more or less) to take a move) But I'm sure you can just take your go straight away, doesn't have to be in 5 days

    I know its a little off topic but does any one remeber quake chess? basicly it was all the quake stff monsters and you coiuld move liek in chess but when you got to take some one over you got to attack them ti was fun ,shame there isnt a ns chess skulks porns etc. fades bishops lol
