is it a good idea to creat rine base on the landing platform behind the wall? i have always felt this a good startegy but my team is always angry at me. Whats ur opinion
This serves no real purpose. If it was up to me, the landing pad would be relegated to an aesthetic. It's pointless overall and causes problems.
I wouldn't call it a "good" strategy, as it's barely a strategy at all. Maybe marginally easier to defend against things like Onos, but as noted, Lerks are killer, plus aliens can lock you into your spawn.

I don't like ms of Hera at all. It's too cramped, and far away from everything. There's no good reloc spot on Hera except Entrance and Reception though.

Its fine. it has 3 entrances. One is long and can be choked with a HMG. One is small and can be choked by yet a HMG One is slow and can also be choked by HMG.
I never needed to, but its doable.
And you got a good number of RTs easy to reach and hold.
It's better if you stay in MS and build some things outside on the platform and some things indoors. Most aliens won't expect you to build outside. An Obs built on the platform can save your team if MS gets rushed. The only problem is that if a lerk gets onto the platform he can destroy buildings on it easily. That's why you should mine alla round teh switch that opens the door.

Northern is awesome, but takes ages to pull off. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Cargo is no way near as good as it used to be when there was a route from cargo-> double without nubs taking fall damage. (And, indeed, when it was still "double", not just plain old Holoroom.)
CC under the storage crate, enter from the TOP of the crate on the left. Base goes on the side of the crates nearest the sub-terranian RT. Totally skulk proof. Even if a skulk goes under the crates and right up to the CC, you can still eject and pistol whipping before it knows what's it it.
Plus there's the advantage of being able to pull-off the elevator-kills-fade trick more often. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Bring back Ns2 hera. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> Archiving is still odd, and cargo needs a different route from double-cargo imo. Still, as it stands, a well balanced map.

No, relocating outside onto the platform is plain... well, stupid. You gain practically nothing, for the cost of a CC and time. :S
So here's a hera strategy (a lot of people know this): In holo, stand inside the hologram, most people can see cloaked aliens. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I wouldn't call it an exploit, really. It's so heavily restricted that it doesn't give you THAT much of an advantage.
It's also a cool aspect of the map, as small as it is. IMO
Hah.
And yes, MS is getting better, but still needs work. Seems unfinished.

according to experience, u usually get locked up, lose all the rts and receive an wall of lame.
Anywayz, my experience is that the marine start is fine to have.
