How To Ns Maps

Hi i don't know how to make maps for ns and everyone on this site is talking about hammer but i dont have a clue where to get this hammer program can someone help me with links downloads for any map making software?

    Thanks i now have have hammer but i need some tips on how to use it i've mad a map but it looks crap can you tell me where i can get maps so i can edit the and put better things in them like etensions and more

    Thats typically something mappers don't like. Sorry mate. The best thing I can suggest is to goto tutorial sites and learn that way. I'm sure some people here can suggest some good tuts.

    The only other way I can suggest is trial and error. That the way I learned. Thats also why I take so long to make my current map. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
