<div class="IPBDescription">its showing my C: drive O.o</div>I ran into something really wacky today w/ Steam's update monitor. Where the banner ad should be it had an Explorer process looking at C:\. I could scroll the menu and click the directories on my drive and everything. Odd.

The question is: <i>how major</i> a putz up is it? This kind of thing hints at bugs which lead to loopholes which lead to security exploits.

the kind of putz that sinks battleships, makes loopholes in spacetime and explodes entire galaxies founded around the basic prinicples that is cheese.
Actually, it's surprisingly easy. I'm sure you've all seen the sites that claim "I HAVE STOLEN UR C: DRIEV OLOLO"

And that will accomplish what? We've shown Steam Friends to Valve and that's remained unfixed for about a year now...
