Why is it that everytime when i command i always lose the game for marines..
Usually in the begiing i would rush advanced armor then put down 2 rts ( if my teammate is at a res node) then i would drop an arms lab and go for A1 immediatelly Then i would tell my soldiers to lock down 1 hive or double depending on teh map.. then we move on.. by the time we lock down a hive or 2 i would have upgrade weapon 1 or 2 by that time then drop a prototype lab for HAs ... usually its at like 7 min in the game.. but in the end i still end up losing the game... am i doing anything wrong ??

You don't have to follow a set strategy. In fact, I recommend being a bit more flexible.
Keep in mind, Armor1 is not an incredible "the-only-other-option-is-death" upgrade since 3.03. If you have moderate confidence in your marines' aming abilities (it helps to play on a server where you "know" the regulars), then you might start with Weapons1 early on.
Seeing as you seem to lose when you shoot off a beacon, try having phase gates available earlier in the game. You might also try to drop at least a Turret Factory in base after a few minutes to electrify and keep the skulks at bay. At one point, dropping a Turret Factory like that was seen as a "noob" tactic, but hey- I've won several games by basically ignoring the status quo. My favorite tactic is to mix tactics, so the alien team is always guessing. The drawback is that my marines are sometimes annoyed that I'm not using their strategies, but too bad for them. In your case, I would start with a few relatively "normal" strategies to get used to the flow of battle (namely, handling weird situations), and if you ever start to become a server regular somewhere, then you can really mix and match with funny tactics.
also, it may depend on the server you playing on, like some severs give the aliens a boost...For some silly resion.
I don´t command very often, but I actually managed to pull of a victory on a 22 ppl server the other day. Mostly due to 2 facts.
Aliens went SC first. My team spread out and capped rts like crazy (never told them to). So I figured, why not farm and get obs everywhere while we can afford it. Also elec rts asap. My rines was all WTH?? Upgrades!!
But 4 minutes into game 2 hive locks with excessive farming and obs. We didnt even bother about dbl until just before last assult (mostly because it was on the way).
Map was ns_lost and starting hive was vent. Not a good hive for aliens to start with so I guess that helped.
dont lock down side hives or double res nodes.
But...ns_lost doesn't have a 'vent' hive...there is cargo, equilibrium, and alpha...that's it... o_O
I meant Origin. Need some coffee. doh!
You have my permission to slap me silly. Just keep the line in order.
-try not to lock a hive, mines, sgs, welders, hmgs are where hte money should be
-if you MUST lock a hive, lock a hive that they WILL get (i.e. if they have a side hvie, take the center hive)
-THE most important thing early game, and really, the entire game, is directing your marines to the alien RTs and supporting them to TAKE THEM DOWN.
