Wheel Of Time News
<div class="IPBDescription">Book 11 due out in Oct. YAY!</div> I know not many of you probably follow this series of books, but those who know me do. Thusly I had decided to keep up to date for those that wish to follow.
<a href='http://www.dragonmount.com/News/index.php?subaction=showfull&id=1114022763&archive=&start_from=&ucat=37&' target='_blank'>Book 11 Intro (SPOILERS)</a>
Book 11 is on target and will be released oct. The date on amazon.com is an estimate but you never know. Jordan has said he is almost done and will work on editing this entire summer, so no more stupid mistakes in the books after the editorial process.
All I can say, is YES!

Some heavy text tbh, but I will no doubt be buying the rest of the series at some point.
(You used to be Lanfear, right? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->)
The last book was so mind bogglingly awful, that short of stellar recommendations from multiple independent sources, I'm not touching the next one.
The first three books are amazing. If you ever start reading this series, stop there. They go rapidly downhill. I have been dragged through the mud for so long by his abysmal recent books, that I simply don't care anymore. The characters could all die horrible grisly deaths, and I would actually enjoy the books more, because at least something would be happening.
Seriously, I'm tired of reading about how character X stirred her tea, whined a bit, and frowned sharply at character Y, while wondering what character Z was thinking when she frowned a little less sharply at character Q.
Its a waste of pages, and its a waste of my time.
In the last book, lets see, what happened.
A few characters travelled a few miles in the directions they were already headed.
Some minor characterization occured.
Other characters whined, stirred their tea, and frowned at eachother (then they got embarassed over really stupid things.)
One of the characters did something really stupid at the "climax" that was the only concrete happening in the book.
Seriously, stop now. I can't warn you enough. At least don't start until he finishes the whole series and someone can tell you if that whole pile of crap in the middle was worth it at the end.
Robert Jordan has so obviously run out of ideas that its not even funny.
I'll admit though that my ability to really care much about 'the dragon' is slowly slipping away though. Then again I was always more interested in the other characters anyways :p
OMG!!! T3H UBER NEXT BOOOOOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
btw, if you guys liked this you might want to pick up the "Sword of Truth" novels, I felt them to be kinda similar, they apeal to the same idea anyway.

They stayed pretty good until 4 or so. Then I think 6 or 7 was pretty good. I recommend people stop at 3 because its a good stopping point. In fact, if you are going to read them at all, stop before the last chapter of 3. Resist the temptation. Its really not worth it.
Agree also that the sword of truth series is good. Though really after Faith of the Fallen they aren't that great. Also Reymond E Feist did a good series of books, mainly the Riftwar Saga, and the Tsurani books.
Don't forget the part where all the women complaing about men being stupid, and all the men complain about the women being confusing. Which part is that, you say? ALL OF THEM. ****. It was funny the first time, but after hearing judgmental **** #4 say for the 11234192th time that men suck, it starts to become repetitive.
I'm with Moultano on this, if you couldn't tell.

second that.
Read the first 3 and use your imagination for rest, you can do it better....
I like the guy with the yellow eyes (excuse the bad memory but I've not read them in a long while) best I think.
When someone can capture such simple everyday things and actually have plots that mean something so those "politics" mean something that is special. I know the Shannara series did something similiar, I haven't read all of them but I have read "The sword of Shannara" and "The elfstones of shannara." I definately enjoyed those just as much as "Wheel of Time."
Interesting side note: Jordan is only planning three more books, one FINAL book for the series and two more prequels, according to dragonmount and they have been the most right of any one reporting on the "Wheel of Time" then anyone I know of. :-)
It's presumably because RJ was "saving up" on the action until it would fit in better; right now Rand's like half insane and stuff, so it's best if they find a cure for it first. Or something. In any case, he's too weak right now for any action to occur.
