Definately a step forward. I would keep the silver and just make the blue shade darker. I'd say darker then even the forum page BG, like maby the in quote BG color.

Looked at it earlier when it was Blue on Black, that was nice. : X Although the gray/white on blue isn't bad I guess, but it's so close to the forum blue it just looks...odd, IMO.

IMO the bright blue border around it makes it seem fugly, maybe the same border from the clickable smilies box would look better.
