About Hidden: Source
wierdness...

http://www.hidden-source.com/index.php?page=4

1 cloaked (ala predator rather than the ns cloak, but a sign of what could be done for cloak in ns:source) knife wielding nutjob, vs a squad of marines, whoever kills the nutjob is the nutjob next round you dig?

wierdness.... because, IT HAS 0 SERVERS!

apparently this is because it has bugs that crash servers every now and again... and once they've crashed the admins haven't put them back

so thats another thing to add to ns:source a truely invisible, but refractive alien cloak(at least at lower speeds), gamma whorage is useless against it, hurrah!

There has been a thread on it in O-T a while ago. Aside from a certain fellow devs wondering where the Hidden stores his grenades, him not wearing any clothing and so on, the consensus was that it'd be a nice concept mod if they manage to iron the bugs out.

Yeah, bugs are killing its playability.

It's horrible. And based on what video card you have it alters the visibility of the hidden. Sometimes it's clear as day and others it's 100% invisible.

The concept is extremely simple but amazingly fun. As soon as some (a lot, admittingly) of the bugs are worked out, then it will be a terriffic mod. The whole video card deal really isnt an overwhelming issue sometimes due to Half-Life 2's system requirements and computers will (the majority) have been upgraded by the time its done and polished.

At this stage, you should judge the concept, not what they've put on the table in terms of playability. Its a brilliant mod.

This, it seems is true. I can see the Hidden pretty clearly. One of my mates, who also suffers from lag spikes every minute or so on his holier-than-thou monster of a machine, just gave in after a few games because he couldn't see eheh.

It truly is fun though, it will be very good once they get rid of the vast number of bugs.
