I take it you didn't get involved in the big constie test of the last patch then...? The thing is, with such a huge number of people as consties, then releasing any sort of 'secret information' won't stay secret at all - the numbers are just too large.
<!--QuoteBegin-Yash+--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> (Yash)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->I wish we just knew <i>something</i>, or maybe even you guys could put consties of your choice under a NDA, and tell us stuff, just about anything would help out now...<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
They already do... they're PT's - (a slightly simplified idea, but it makes the point) - whats the point of making people agree to the NDA and telling them stuff for the sake of telling them...?
And as pointed out, the PT's know very little more than you already know - the most obvious example is the fact that we have no more idea about nexus than you do. They (the dev's) are quite deliberately keeping it all a secret at the moment - when we get the first version of 3.1 to test, you all get told about nexus.... so *everyone* finds out about it at the same time.
You have a somewhat incorrect perception of the Constellation program there.
You are donors. We are grateful for those donations. Hence, the icons et all. But we won't start to 'buy' Consties. Thus, we do not open CM betas unless it is sensible from a design perspective. Thus, we do not 'seperate you from the general public' by means of secret info. All said and done, you are part of the general public. I honestly fail to see what's so bad about that.
It's pretty selfish to think your donation entitles you to "secret info" or other special treatment.
You donate because you want to help the project, not because you expect a return. That's why it's a donation, not an investment.
The icon and forums, etc, are a voluntary return from the devs as a small thank you, which they didn't even have to provide (many organizations take donations and don't even write a letter).

Thats not going to happen.
Its not done yet.
Its a very risky thing to release an unfinished product to the public. Admit it or not, the general playerbase of any game is really really picky. As soon as you release a buggy beta, all those people who were screaming"OGM just give it to us now!11" turn around and start screaming "OGMWTH THIS R CRAP!11"
To make it worse, NS kinda set itself up. We have been getting fairly high quality stuff from the very beginning. I mean, we really haven't ever had it all that bad. Even in some of the lesser balanced patches, NS tends to adhear to a very strict standard of quality.
