Because it looks horrible.
the stargate is a bottleneck in and of itself. the only other way that the bases connect is the huge outside area, and marines dont have automatic access to get to the alien base from there, they need jps.
marines almost always lose. the only way they usually win is if the alien team is full of nubs.
not true, you can win as rine too. there are more then one strategy to win this map as rine. it is verry inportant wehre you start building.
I mean, come on. If you're going to make an addition to the whole slew of stargate maps, try something unique...
But, keep mapping and practice your mapping skills.
oh wait, no. This map sucks.
its even laggier than this!
and it has RINGS! woot.
I think im the first person to put the transport rings as well as a stargate into a stargate map for ns <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

psih I was gonna have rings in mine but I opted for a working 4gate network, yey for ns_stargate_sgc
there is a command for your server admin -> sv_downloadurl "your mirror url". after your suceccfully implement this cmd all players can download with full speed. it is really simple, try it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
The 4 gate network doesnt work properly <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
My maps half done by me, half done by my other half (kyliegirl)
<a href='http://www.opticpower.com/kylie/fury/ns_sg-abydos-b2.rar' target='_blank'>sg abydos</a>
*should finish uploading .. eventually*
the problem with that gate network, is that each stargate uses around 75 ents :O
but at least it works >.<
I wouldnt mind having a 4 section stargate map which has a revolving gate .. that would be cool, but it would chew on the w polys

Im already using that but i aint putting the map on my content server as no one on my server liked it when they played it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
my 1st version was a 4 gate network too <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> but in my early tests the gameplay was unpractically. no one findes out the "secret" of my dialing features <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> the next problem some alpha versions later, the map was to big and got more brushes then half-life engine can handel.
you can try to make a working 4 gate system with "trigger_changetarget".

Hmm I dunno, ye olde achio comes close (if it's in fact not bigger <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> ) and what about that fine piece of mapping called ns_oasis I remember it was big to.
