One of the better pages of my doodlebook:

[edit] I'm not looking for feedback (though any is welcome), just sharing my pen-dumps and justifying my new purchase ^_^

I envy your artistic ability - I always wanted to draw.

    Nice More!

Most of my doodles are done during Multimedia Production lectures. There's nothing quite like being taught how to tween an object in Flash (basically) for 3 hours. Oh wait there is - watching wet paint tween to dry paint!

Here's the product of another lecture (the mass of patterns at the top anyway).

Its fruitless to ask what anything I draw actually is...most of my doodles are started by some random curves and lines done more for the feel of drawing than with an expectance of form, and then I just build on it and see where it takes me. The weird tower on the left is a prime example of that. Ask me to draw something in particular and generally I'll curl up into a ball.

I'm not going to say everyones an artist because I don't know if that's true or not, but there's nothing stopping you from picking up a pen and seeing what happens As I said in my previous post, I rarely start a doodle with any aim in mind, just do a few lines and curves (usually something spiky and similar to a celtic pattern) and if you start to see any recognisable pattern come from it, build on that. The best thing about doodles as that since generally you're not putting 'serious' effort into them (unless you think its worth it, I spend more time on some doodles than others depending on how confident I am that they're leading somewhere good), you don't need to worry about it being critisized. Theres no pressure!

It's a style of art, and a very good one at that.

Not every piece of art you'll see will be possible. Leave it at that.
