Dude thats awesome Gjob, and make it to desktop size 1024x768 im sure some people would like that <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Honest Critisism: The skulks look a bit stiff, and I'm just not sure about the background altogether, very professional though, good to see high res at some point <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
He made the mountains in Bryce <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Yeah it's redered in Bryce 5 to get the sky, haze, and mountains. I used the skulk jaws texture from in game so it's not very high res, I'll try to increase the texture size and blur it a tiny bit in Photoshop. The skulks were done in haste and I'll fix them. Also, I'll make the gunfire more pretty. As for 1024x768, I dont have anywhere to host it and it would be too big as an attachment.
the shadows on the bottom teeth look really screwed up. other that that if you take everything into consideration, it is a very nice image

New version; this one took about 20 hpurs to render because the gunfire defracted the light in many ways and Bryce had to calculate it all. Changes include a slightly smoother mouth texture, relaxed aliens and different gunfire.
The aliens look a lot more natural, and the lighting looks a tad better too though. But those muzzle flashes don't look that great IMO -- almost like something you'd see in a comic book, not a realistically rendered scene like that one. Still, far better than I could do. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Alright, I changed the flashes a bit through Bryce, making them more fuzzy and additive. The lights that had been infront of the barrels to simulate the light given off by a muzzle flash shined through more brightly, and caused a much higher contrast in the image than previously. This was unexpected but not altogether bad in my opinion.

BTW how did u get the skulk models into bryce? i can get them into 3dsm using ms3d but all i get is the mesh, i have to pose them in ms3d ( ;( )
find some picks of some realy muzzle flashes, shrink them a bit, and pop em on and mess around with 'em till they look right
Anyway, it's nice... but I liked the less-yellowy one better.
