    Maggots are also believe it or not, very good for you.

    They can be used to get rid of infected and dead tissue around a wound and apparently, do it better than many Hi-Tech treatments.

    Once a fly laid eggs in an open infected wound in my toe and the maggots then ate away a good part of the infectec flesh.

    The holes created by them were giant, but unluckily the infection returned because the maggots could not eat the origin of the infection (a misgrown toenail).

    So I have to agree, maggots own.
