Need answers nooooow D=
Yeah ok, bug forum is locked with any new posts pending moderator review. But I need solutions noooow D=

Ok the situation is thus:
- I connect to a game of NS through ASE (Not through the shortcut, so everything is spiffy)
- It connects properly and I enter the ready room
- When I try and join marines or aliens it crashes
- I do Ctrl+alt+del and look in my task manager, HL has overflowed and something called DWWIN.EXE is taking 60Mb of my memory
- Same results 4 times

Go away for a bit come back
- I connect through ASE again
- Game overflows as soon as I enter the Ready Room, DWWIN.exe still sucking 60Mb of memory
- Same results 3 times

Stuff I can tell you about my PC
- It has PLENTY of HDD space left (4Gb+)
- I just ran a virus scan, no viruses (Through housecall)

Thus I believe it to be a problem with NS.
Can ANYONE give me some info on DWWIN.exe problems and HL?
I AM HAVING WITHDRAWL PROBLEMS FROM LACK OF NS!!!!

You are using windows 2000 ?

Doctor Watson is debugging your application after it has crashed. Thats what the DWWIN.exe application is.

I cant give you a solution without some more details about your system.

This is also in XP. Try doing a complete uninstall re-install of NS first, then if that doesn't work come back and give more details.

When you've got a problem plz list your specs as well. And this should have gone in tech support.

Anyways, I think DWWIN is Doctor Watson but i'm not sure how it could be crashing HL/NS just at that particular point. Do a search in tech support to see if anyones had similar problems.

Have you only got 64MB of memory ? That might explain it if DR W is chewing up 60 of it.

Most likely Dr Watson is scanning HL after it crashes.

just want to add (unfortunetly i don't know how 2 fix it) that try turning off/uninstalling doctor watson, and that this shouldn't be in bug reports...well because it's not a bug on the games end, but on yours.
