<div class="IPBDescription">good watch</div>I just got done watching the <a href='http://event.on24.com/eventRegistration/EventLobbyServlet?playerheight=533&playerwidth=785&sourcepage=null&eventid=1179&sessionid=1&username=&partnerref=&contenttype=&format=&key=8818A278CD4B677B742470856670B9CB' target='_blank'>GeForce FX Unveiling Presentation video</a>. Its a great watch if you're interested in the technology and have an hour and a half to kill. Yes it is that long of a presentation heh.
Shows some great stuff. Also tells where they got the name GeForce FX: Part of the technology actually started with the 3Dfx team... I guess that explains the big big fan, only the wackos at 3Dfx would think of something so cheesy. :P

Anyone else really looking forward to Deus Ex 2?
hell yes! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
deus ex 2 along with thief 3 are two games i am REALLY looking for to in the future. speaking of thief 3, there's a rumour going around that this GeForce FX powered picture:
<a href='http://gamespot.com/gamespot/stories/screens/0,10865,2898008,00.html' target='_blank'>http://gamespot.com/gamespot/stories/scree...2898008,00.html</a>
...which was posted on gamespot yesterday is a picture of thief 3. apparently, when the news post ( <a href='http://gamespot.com/gamespot/stories/news/0,10870,2898008,00.html' target='_blank'>http://gamespot.com/gamespot/stories/news/...2898008,00.html</a> ) went up gamespot had to later edit it since they actually stated that it looked like a picture of thief 3. a better explanation of what im trying to erm explain (and the part of the gamespot news story that was edited out) can be found here:

needless to say though that i know which graphics card i'll be buying soon...that is, unless ati hasn't got anything up their sleeves. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
I don't have bloody 400USD to spend on a Geforce 4! <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

this is the first i've heard...what happened?
But it wouldn't suprise me if they did :P
But regardless, id is not going to screw over all their customers because of something stuid that the hardware company did.
By the way, Doom 3 is very, very fun.
[Edit]I appreciate your corrections on my blindside Maniac. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
and Injury, just cause something is all over /. doesn't make it true. I mean all those guys think Linux is superior too! :P j/k
/me runs
But really ATI has a longstanding history of screwing up. I believe that while the 9700 is a great product, it is more of a fluke than a fresh start. I bet in 3 or 4 months their new "driver initiative" goes back to the old way of updating drivers.. never.
P.S. I still hate ATI cause they still haven't made good drivers for their TV card on XP. idiots.
By the way..
/me hunts Maniac down with an oversized rubber mallet
[Edit]I know it doesn't, dilapidated attempts at humor usually fail on boards it seems!
