If you want realism, the m1a2 abrams would be almost unstoppable and everyone would **** and moan about how they cant kill it with crappy rpg's and such.

and san, it helps to shoot a gun in real life before you say they sound bad, the weapons sound pretty real imo

Stunning graphics (I maxed it all out, with 4x AA - looks superb), this will be a great game. I want to test the VoIP still though <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I'm pretty sure you can still hear pretty well weapons that are further than a dozen yards from you.

Yeh I wish, only rifle I've fired was our Dutch military's Dimaco (As Canadian C7) assault rifle. And that wasn't with live rounds...

I'm just unimpressed with the sounds, they just lack the quality that COD and Forgotten Hope has IMO. Maybe personal preferance, but I still think the volume is to low.

And I'm not really interested in modern day warfare either in games. I just like the old weapons&tactics from Worldwar 2. Propellor planes for the win, since all you do in this arcade type environment is dogfight. Which I might add looks and sounds way better with the old-school planes.

Normally jet fights are: blimp on radar --> lock-on --> fire and forget, but in BF2 it's just dogfighting (with a bad pov hat switch support... AGAIN <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> )

If you have a NVidia card, make sure you didn't install the drivers that came with it. Good chance that was the problem.

As an off-color aside, you should all go special forces on the MEC and suicide bomb tanks and humvees with the C4 at least once. For added punch, scream "FOR ALLAH" on the VoIP.

TI 4*** series cards aren't supported by EA.

However, some guy found a hack to get it to work:

Commander mode is so cool. Airstriking flags before having your minions rush in is great. I always go engi so I can hop out and repair the Artillery.

To get rid of the headless chicken feel, Start up your squad(Caps Lock) and invite random people. Then give them orders (caps then right click on map) on what to attack. Most newbies will run to where they are told.

Couple of rounds leading my squad around, we would cap the entire land mass and the start launching boats out to hit the crusier. It's so sweet storming the ship with a bunch of squad mates.
