Filling in a job application.....just got to fill in references and do the "additional info" bit. The rest of application has the standard work experiance an qualifications.
What sort of thing put in the additional info will make employers go "OMGZ LETS HIRE THAT ONE". I've put the why you want the job, what you think you will bring to the place etc. One's that are specific for the job. Just looking for general things they like to see <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

If money's an issue you could probably google websites available to help do the same thing.
Good luck to ya!
Indeed. I absolutely hated being in boy scouts. was one of the worst periods of my life. But I always put that damn thing on my resume, because it really does impress employers. If anything, its mostly because a lot of people know someone who is an eagle scout, and so that's just a little bit more of making you a person who needs a job and not just a piece of paper.
Also, considering this is your first job, I'm assuming it is at some first-job like place, such as a grocery store or etc. If so, don't be too worried about not having work experience. Places like that are almost always understaffed, and they are also used to their establishments being the places where people go for their first jobs. So don't worry too much. Just make a good impression and etc etc and you'll do fine.
Lastly, don't get too bent out of shape if you don't get the job. A lot of people will apply for 1 opening, or sometimes they just won't have any openings at all. And places like that rarely go to the trouble of interviewing multiple people and picking the best choice, they usually just go with the first one they find. So don't get too discouraged. I had to apply at like 10 places before I got my first job.
Good luck.

Same.
As to getting a job: KNOW PEOPLE. I can't stress this enough. Its the only way.
I meet all the requirements for the job and all of the "helpful skills" other than one. Hell most of the job requirements I am well over what is needed education wise.
I did go to Beavers and Cubs.....was going to do scouts but dodgy knee = no no.
Thanks for reminding computer skills. I missed off that i'm sitting exams for some soon.
Will remember to put in the sports stuff too....especially the team sports which I imagine show a fair amount of things....
Not really, but if they are familiar w/ it then they may ask you questions about how you felt about it, and other stuff stuff like what project you did or etc. If they know a lot about it then be prepared to not get the job as they will have found out you lied to them.
Don't put it on there if you don't have it, cause even though they can't check it it will no doubt bite you in the arse.
ya and if they find out your lying your most likely not going to get the job.
If you're applying to be a politician, you've got the job, though. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
