I just got back from the midnight showing. O. M. G. This is one of the best movies of the year. It's a good movie period. I'm not a huge fan of batman, and haven't been a fan of superhero flicks. This rocks my socks. GO SEE IT NOW. Only one peeve..... it suffers from "XTREME FIGHT CAM" syndrome. I.e. heres what happens during an action scene:
ANGLE CHANGE, PUNCH, ANGLE CHANGE, ANGLE CHANGE, ANGLE CHANGE, ANGLE CHANGE, KICK, ANGLE CHANGE, ANGLE CHANGE, ANGLE CHANGE, ANGLE CHANGE.....
ANGLE CHANGE, PUNCH, ANGLE CHANGE, ANGLE CHANGE, ANGLE CHANGE, ANGLE CHANGE, KICK, ANGLE CHANGE, ANGLE CHANGE, ANGLE CHANGE, ANGLE CHANGE.....

What the hell?
I have been craving for this film since it was first announced. The fight scene as you said seemed to be in line with the Batman character, so no problem with me.
So far, I have heard more good than bad.

Well that's a comic->movie stereotype. According to the rumours, this thing was a sleeper. But it should be good.
In all honesty, I have no idea what the film's plot is. My sister also recommended me not to find out, and just go see it unprepared. It's better that way, apparently.

Lucky you, I read all the spoilers.
Batman: Micheal Keaton. Dark and gothic. Rocked.
Batman Returns: Micheal Keaton. Dark and gothic. Rocked
Batman something or other (can't even remember name): Val Kilmore. Family cheese. Sucked ****
Batman something or other: George Clooney. Family cheese. Sucked ****.
Now we have a film going to Batmans roots, with a kick **** actor capable of playing dark characters, and is going back to the dark gothic route with no family cheese. How did you think it was going to be vomit?
Batman Forever rocked, it was that last one that really sucked.
Even the last one? That caused entire audiences to wilt. People would go in, and come out ninety years older. Many died in the process.

No, it's not. It has a brain sucking cable box, with Two-Face and the Riddler playing minesweeper. What the hell is wrong with you.

I lost many good friends that day... *shakes head in disgust*
Those who survived lost their sanity forever.
Might actually have to go see this...
This, on the plus side, has Michael Caine in. AND Morgan Freeman. Who plays the ah, "bad guy" in it?
OOoohoooh. Gary Oldman is in it? I assume he's a bad guy?
Am I living in a twilight zone? You peeps don't know he's now the definitive James Gordon?

Rofl. The great Aging of 99'. Or whenever that movie came out. I never saw it.
I still say Batman Forever was the last good one, because it was.

97.
I should really look to see if anyone else makes a thread about a movie before I post one (+1 nub). Anyways I liked it except for the bit about "I'm someone who likes to rattle the cages".
I'm hoping to go see this soon. Maybe tonight if I can convince my friend to go...
It makes sense if you actually watch the movie.
