<div class="IPBDescription">This is a real problem</div> Game just started, I'm the commander I'm doing a good job. Plenty of resources and everything. Then some loser gets on and goes hey let me be the commander! I wanna be the commander! So he and his friends vote to eject me and we lose the game somehow when they recover from having only 1 hive. What the heck is with that? Gets really discouraging. It seems like it's too easy to vote out a commander.

    yeah that happens to me all the time. sure ill eject someone if theyve been the commander for 5 games and not letting anyone else be. but it could be my first game as commander on a server doing all the right stuff then get ejected so NSplayer can be commander <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    the first day of the release, commanders were ejected left and right becuase everyone wanted a chance.

    It hasn't really happened to me except recently. Now there are like gangs of people that just go around ejecting people.

    It's happened to all of us. Lately though I get a surge of satisfaction when I see a VOTE FAILED to do a COMM eject, and I'm doing a good job.

    Just find a good server with good players (those who have the time and effort to change their names) and you all will be fine.

    i had a really crappy team today
    really really crappy
    i decided to take over that stupid commander who didnt do nothing
    and when i did first thing i build a turret near command center just in case...
    but then nobody will come build it ! im not being self centered CC is a crucial point you must protect
    so i logged off for a sec to build it myself
    then this little **obscenity** came in and took my CC i was like... ok **obscenity** it
    and we lost few min later

    You'll NEVER get this with me. I'm happy being a normal Marine.
    As COMM i tend to panic and lose track of players, especially in 8 per team servers

    Don't ask me how but one complaing trooper ejected me when I was doing a awesome job witht he bases it should be changed so good commanders don't get punished.

    How about a satisfaction rate type thing? If they want, you can right click and say he is doing good, fine, bad. The server averages it and if it get's too low (factored with the amount of users) then the comm is ejected.

    The default eject setting is something like 33%.
    Needs to be at least 50% IMO.

    That's why it's so easy to vote a comm out.

    On the few times I've played a Marine (gotta love random), it was like musical chairs with the commanders. Then you go and ask for something as simple as an order, you get nothing.

    At least on some servers, they've increased the percentage for the vote.

    the eject command should be removed and the marines should have to overthrow the commander in a bloody revolution just like our founding fathers intended

    Just for reference, the number of votes necessary for an eject is determined by a server variable. The admins can control the percentage necessary to kick, so I'd first suggest looking for servers with a high value. Also, it depends greatly on what server you are playing on. For instance, the only time a commander is ejected on my server is when the marines destroy the final hive (victory eject ftw!)

    I thought you were supposed to read all the threads from the beginning until now so that you're up to date with everything that's ever been posted. I was just curious about this issue because I've never seen it, but this guy seems really ticked about it. What's his problem?

    It works both ways though, if it was harder to vote out commanders, and you get some stupid person trying to comm when he doesn't have a clue, you want it to be relatively easy to vote him out.

    I think some sort of shock button on a marine would do wonders for the comm... just like an admin slap except its activated from the marine... could really "Boost Productivity" among the marines that are not following that waypoint just in the next room...

    Being ejected like that is never fun... I dont see it alot but when it does happen... its just so frustrating

    Hehe, usually true. Just got done several games where the marines went through about 4-5 comms each game. Nearly all of them were perfectly capable. I think the system is quite easy to abuse unless its set to a high percent. If the whole team does not agree, then why let a few people eject him?

    Dont feel bad, we had an AFK commander (why in the hell do you go AFK as a comm for 2 minutes) on a 4v4 server, problem was, it requierd 6 votes to eject him >_<. Needless to say, we lost.

    I hate it when someone goes on and just decides to eject, then everyone else starts to as well, then the next guy gets in and he gets ejected then the next guy gets ejected and so on, then they start laughing and im like you ****** WTH are you doing, nobody can go commander now!
