A little while ago i heard sirens, a loud crash, followed by several little tinier "thunk-thuds", so, being my natural inquisitive self, i ventured forth to investigate.
lo and behold there was an accident! on a street corner which had previously (in the last ten years) suffered Six crashes, this was no amazing thing, "oh another crash, wohoo"
I was wrong, *this* crash had been caused by a *possibly* drunk driver of a brown *possibly* stolen van, being chased by not one, but *Two* police vehicles. The brown van had crashed into the back of a much larger white van just before the intersection and then presumably skidded a little and onto my street whilst the white van rolled onto an empty lot. It was at this point that the driver of the brown van fled the scene.

Then i came in, looking at the scene which had unfolded and talking to witnesses, they told me the story.
The driver of the brown van didn't make it far before the search dog found him, he barely made it half a block up the road to the cemetary, blurry picture <a href='http://img97.echo.cx/img97/5483/perpcaught8re.jpg' target='_blank'>Here</a>

Man, despite the obvious damage and chaos, it's kinda cool to be able to be there as it happens and talk to all the witnesses like that. What would be even cooler is if you were saucy southern lawyer of the geriatric age played by Andy Griffith. But nonetheless, cool stuff.

lol but those are seperate, they're individual houses.
Very impressive story, the only things that could have improved it:
More chasing cars/helicopters
More fire
A murderer/abductor driving
SWAT team or national gaurd or army
Then again, if any of those were elements of your story, it would be headline news, and would probably have given you a bit of a scare....

You think that's close? Alot of us Brits still live in Terraced houses.
