Does Ns:source Require Hl 2?

From what I understand, Ns will be going into source witch kinda tells me that ill need HL2.
The only close to HL2 is its demo.
Please tell me that NS will NOT need HALF LIFE 2. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' />

Inother words, NS:SOURCE sounds GREAT!!!!!

Liger, NS: Source, as the name implies, will need the Source rendering engine.

This can currently be found in 3 formats.

1: Half-Life 2...
2: Counter Strike: Source
3: Half-Life Source

Basically, you WILL need one of the above to be able to run NS: S, when it gets released.

NS:Source is a good deal away. I wouldn't worry about it for a while.

Like KungFu said, by the time you need HL2... well... hopefully it'll be a little more.. affordable. So don't go break the bank buying it now.

too bad that one can only get CS:S via HL2 and only get HL1:S via HL2 collectors...
Meaning the conclusion is...: HL2 is required to play the game.
