In NS, you have to hold crouch to bhop as skulk, to avoid sticking to the floor.
alias hop "+jump; wait; -jump; wait"
alias +jumps "hop;hop;hop; +jump; wait"
alias -jumps "-jump; wait;"
Shove it in your config.cfg then bind your jump key or mwheel to hop. It will give you 3 jumps when you order one so you don't have to get the timing split second.
For practice try putting ns_nothing on and bunny hopping around viaduct. Try turning the gravity off entirely to practice your strafing. Just by holding down lft or rgt and strafing the mouse you will see yourself accelerate in the air. Put the grav back on, but to 400 instead of 800. This will give you a little bit longer to press those keys before the next jump. Once you have the movements smooth put it back to 800 and just hop round from gen to via and back a few times.

Acctually you don't need it. Not even speaking of the no script alias servers. For me personally it's alot easier just using MWheel. When I bunnyhop I just keep scrolling down at the right moment and 95% of the time I don't miss.

That takes a lot of the skill out of the game, and personally I take pride in my ability to keep up without using Mwheel bhop, scripts, or anything of the sort.
Call me old fashioned or dumb, but I'm content.

well yeah, i used to bhop with 3jumps in space, but mwheel feels more natural to me.
There's an ns map out there... something like ns_bunnyhop. It's got ideal spots to practice and walls covered in instructions.

Or, bind that jump script to your mousewheel.
// jumps
alias hop "+jump; wait; -jump; wait"
alias +jumps "hop;hop;hop; +jump; wait"
alias -jumps "-jump; wait;"
bind space +jump
bind mwheelup +jump
bind mwheeldown +jumps
//end jumps
This way on bs_1 servers you can still use your mousewheel, but if you happen to stumble into a bs_0 server you get the 3jump benefit that pretty much everyone else in the room is using.
And if you were wondering, all that jump script does is spam the jump command so you can concentrate on the movement of bhopping and not so much the timing.
In any case, I use my THUMB. AND NO SCRIPT. I don't do well, but I do have a bhop, and sometimes, it's nice to be able to say "I don't use any scripts."
Know what I mean?
No no no, you bind "+jump" to mousewheel and spam it. You bind "3jump" to a key (space, ctrl, etc).
Not made for NS, but easily adaptable.
I'm not saying I'm just as good without the script, but a good 80% of my jumps are perfectly timed.
when u downloaded ns, did it come with that script :? i think not.... <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Some people like to save time and not die in base while they type
"bind mwheelup +attack" and such.
