<div class="IPBDescription">Graphic Artifacts</div> Well, ATI Customer Support SUCKS arse, and the BF2 Support wasn't much better... so I'll ask here
Is there ANYTHING, ANYTHING at all I can do to stop these damn graphic anomolies? I'm at the lowest POSSIBLE graphics settings... no dice <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> I've tried playing with my Catalyst controls... no help there
ATI Support said it was overheating... bulls**t.. ATI cards with 4 different fans (2 intake, 2 exhaust) do NOT overheat...
any ideas?
Radeon 9600 Pro 256 MB with the LATEST Catalyst drivers
I've tried up to 3 sets BACK of drivers, no good

Half Life 2 had, in all honesty, the LEAST bugs of any vid game I've ever seen- except for it's **** poor netcode (which is understandible considering the HUGE ammount of information the CPU is already handling, topping that off with a shitton of stuff from OTHER players in GOD KNOWS WHERE) it had nothing to really write home about!

As for BF2, have any 1 noticed that if you jump and shoot with the snipers it stills hit perfect even if you're midair?
About the problem, try atitool and let it look for artifacts (im guessing anomolies are down the same road) or run 3dmark05. That would sure check if it's overheating.
No, I do NOT overclock...
EDIT-
oh, and WTH happened? looks like your an over your own mines 0o'

No it's barney he's being really retarded, asking me to follow him when im dead (I laid there a few secs before he started shouting, and he wouldn't stop)
Gettings artifacts in 3dmark05 is bad, it may run slow but artifacts shouldn't show. Clean the fans, maybe they're full with dust causing overheat.
You should not continue to let it work hard causing artifacts it may cause permanent damage, try clocking it down or as I said above clean the fans.
Edit: Click "Print Scrn" then open paint and click ctrl+v, save picture and u got yerself a screenshot.
I just dl'ed the RageTweak OC program for the ATI Catalyst Control Console...
I OC'ed my card from 222 mhz to 450. Apparently the guy that put it in DOWNCLOCKED it and re-installing the drivers never fixed it, cause the defaults for my card is somewhere around 350... but I can OC to 450 with no issues, and have heat issues around 475, and a full system freeze at 500
I OC"ed my core to 436.8 and my memory to 240.8 mhz <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> I can run BF2 perfectly for about 4 rounds before I get the artifacts back <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> I'm happy with that... in less than a month, the card can catch FIRE for all I care, for I'll be holding a shiney new card <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
