hmm wish i actually had screenies of them jumping in and things blowing up
What made it even more interesting was that about four of us were completely drunk.
So we had a good time, and wanted to share it. We rambled about how The Pit was civilization, the center of life, the rise and fall of the pit; there was even one guy who made a demo of the onos rush. I think I'll nab some screens from that.
Eventually when we had about 12 IPs and we were all screaming at each other with drunken warcries we realised how ridiculous it was...and loved The Pit even more.
There were a lot of people there, but some kept dying, or building more outside The Pit. I'd say we got pretty much the whole team in at one opint, which was upwarsd of 15 people.
The greatest was when the onos were in the pit, just sitting there. Ahh, mines--how do I love thee?
You're supposed to put an IP in the vent first.

you play that BADLY when youre drunk !??!? when im drunk i kill onos with liek 1 knife, and own hives with my x-ray aimbot ... then wake up on a pavement 2 states away from my house and realise that i dream about ns when im passed out, and that its pretty flipping sad ....
and then realise that im probably better at NS when im too drunk to remember if im marines or aliens, than you are when totally sober

What kind of statement is that? If someone wants to goof around in MS during endgame then who cares, it's fun. There's no need to act holier than thou because "I don't goof around in NS, NS isn't supposed to be fun you nub, no wonder our community is dying." That's just elitist crap that isn't needed. If you think that what someone did is dumb, you don't need to go and tell them that their nubs or that people like them ruin NS. People like that sound like bitter old men who reminisce about the good old days and think that all the young whipper snappers are ruining the world. Instead of going out of your way by posting here just to insult and bring people down, why not keep your mouth shut. What this (and really any) community needs is less bringing down and more building up of its members.

That seems unlikely. Playing on the "wrong" server has long been a point of contestation in NS. I've seen people bash everybody and their servers. NSArmslab, aero, G4B2S, Voogru, and more. If you played on any of these servers, you're a noob or CS player or the dregs of the internet. This is probably one of the least harmonious and friendly communities I've seen for a HL mod.
There are several people on this board who seem to think that if you're not playing vanilla classic with 12-16 players, you're not having the right kind of fun and are therefore trash unworthy of playing or posting. Of course, they'll be damned if they're going to pay for their own servers.

And yeah, they tend to screw around in game when they've been playing seriously all day. It sucks when they do it and you aren't a part of the party.
