<div class="IPBDescription">Color Effects?</div> Look at my avatar. First, I need to know if the LMG and the text are blending seemlessly into the background. What I see is the avatar being slightly darker than the surrounding color. Upon further investigation, it seems ANY image I try to set as my avatar will automatically darken a bit? How do I solve this problem? I just want the avatar background to be the same color as the background of the website...

EDIT: Problem solved. Now go eat pie.

    nope.. looks perfectly fine to me.. maybe its the browser.. im pretty sure you can use some bit of transparency to make the background blend it.. alpha channels or somat...

    I'm guessing you made this lmg screenshot in modelviewer? If so, you could set it's background color to colour #041E2D (the forum background color) and then edit it into your image. I think that should fix it's dark edge arround it

    Wow that's stupid. So you guys don't see a big block of "darker" blue behind my avatar, and it's blending in seemlessly with the background? Well, then how do I do transparency stuff?

    Hmm nah, I only see a dark edge arround the lmg, the blue square filling out the rest of the avatar actually does flow seemlessly into the forum.

    Just checked it in IE. It seem that the png does have a darker blue in that browser o.O Maybe use a jpg or gif instead?

    I took a printscreen in firefox:

    And a printscreen in IE:

    So it just depends on the browser. Can't be fixed on your end.

    Internet Explorer has problems with PNGs. Try a GIF file instead. However, if you're just intending that image for these forums, use a JPEG, since there won't be any need for transparency.

    Well it can actually by not using png. Firefox displays png's correctly. however IE doesn't and it also has problems with png transparancy... So the logical thing to do to get it to display correcty is by using jpg or perhaps gif even if png is the better file format.

    As far as I know, GIF doesn't support partial transparency like PNG.

    and that wierd model-viewer color code. I didn't use
    model-viewer, but the color code will help when I
    eventually do...

    Change the color to forum background color, THEN resize. This keeps it from making that outline where it blends the alpha indexed part. (Kinda like how you see the 255 blue parts in maps because people dont know how to use photoshop and it uses AA on it and makes it blend, then no longer makes the edge 255 blue but rather a blend of colors, making it look dumb <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->)

    Just realized something. That color code I posted can't be used for the background color in Modelviewer. So if you're going to use modelviewer, instead you can use the RGB values.

    Red: 4
    Green: 30
    Blue: 45

    I don't understand, 255 blue is transparent right?
    Well, the black outline is supposed to be there..I think
