Basically this guy gives an account of his resolution to not pay for First Dates. His techniques will surprise and amaze you!
A good read nonetheless.

And that lady? Trying to run out on the bill? Hot damn! Talk about double standards.

Too bad 99% of girls will flip out and never want to talk to you again if you really did that. (although he said most never caught on)
100% / 5% = 20 girls he went out with
$14,000 spent on dating / 20 girls = $700 per date...
damn, I'm not g4y but I need to go out with this guy <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->

those are the type of girls i dont want to date anyways.
But it teaches people a lesson.
I for one am disgusted by girls who go around abusing males wallets (with malicious intent), then ditch.
My girlfriend and I take turns taking the bill, and each of us are conscious about how much were actually spending.

This guy must be a total loser to spend that much money and dates in the first place...here in nevada he could go to the bunny ranch for cheaper! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Perhaps they shouldn't assume he's paying.

Agreed, but the vast majority of men pay automatically, so it's not like they're probably used to asking that kind of thing.
Am I the only one who thinks this guy is a complete jerk?
For one, he's obviously an idiot spending that much money on dates. I mean if he wanted to tell people up front they're paying half, that's one thing, but for he actually egged the girl on as if he was paying when she was asking about the expensive drinks. And a $300 may be a laughing matter to him, but most people don't have that kind of cash to blow.
Not to mention how dumb this is relationship-wise anyway. Regardless of how vindiciated he may feel, the women just view him as a jerk and a cheapskate. Meaning, you won't be getting any 2nd dates. And even when he's only paying half, he's still spending a large chunk of his on money just to make some girl he won't ever talk to again feel bad. Yeah, that makes sense...
Once I read this, the rest of your post became a high pitched whine in my ears. I could not bear to read it.
Go back fanboy! BACK I SAY! BACK TO THE FIREY PITS FROM WHENCE YOU CAME.
...On a more serious note, yes he is being an bastard, but to good effect. Besides they really shouldn't assume he's paying like that. I admit the egging on was unnecessary, but from what he quoted, he did it pretty innocuously.
And did you not read the part where she tried to run out on her bill! You think HE'S bad, the woman tried to pin it on him ANYWAY. Why the hell would you want a second date with a chick like that, when you're obviously just another meal ticket to her.
Good on him. And hopefully it'll start a trend. Gold-diggers should at least learn to wait for a ring before draining them dry.
Try it the other way around. Just imagine if you were out with your buddies, and they were ordering $50 drinks left and right. You're laughing because you assume they're just having a blowout, you're egging them on, everyone's having a good time. Then at the end of the night, the bills come... and they expect YOU to pay.
If the gold digger hadn't gone into the date assuming that he'd be paying for the privilege of her company, at a bar he didn't want to visit, she would have asked. She just assumed... and made an **** of herself. Deserved every penny she racked up, and wasn't deceived. After all, he never said 'it's on me' or 'my treat'.
Do YOU assume that when you're out for drinks with friends, that they'll be paying for you? If so, you deserve to have your bar tab tattooed across your forehead. Just like Ms. Gold-Digger deserves.

Meh, I have more empathy. If she asked me a question like "OMG expensive alcohol, should I get some?" I'd say straight out "It's up to you, we're on seperate tabs". True she shouldn't of assumed he was paying, but if she didn't, she very well may have not been looking for his approval in her drink orders. I don't don't intentionally hurt people, and I don't let people hurt themselfs if I can prevent it. I'm not calling to lock the guy up for what he did, I just think it isn't something to be proud about.
Then again, I'm one of the minority that ISN'T guided by the 'little head' on dates.
Nope, no sarcasm here, look elsewhere plz!
OK Now onto a more semi-serious note. This quote explains what I feel about situations like this.

That is hilarious.
Not to mention really fitting. I was raised in a house where my parents totally believed in equal sexes, so I totally believe that women are equal to men. Unfortunately, some women think that they should get everything men get and more. If women are getting paid the same as men and work in the same places as us, its not like they cant afford to pay for themselves. Equality means being equal, not getting more than everyone else.
<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I mean, I'll still open doors to women and stuff (Which I must say can confuse a few O.o) but there's still the problem that equality means equal. So don't start demanding all these things that I should do because I'm a man.
I know this sounds fairly sexist, believe me, its not ment to be. I just dislike it when people blatenly abuse the rules of chivalry.

Exactly! Chivalry or equal rights. Pick one. You can't have both.
Learn!
I experience the same thing all the time.

Why not?
One is a right and the other is a gift, I don't see how they are mutually exclusive. By definition a gift is more then what you would normally get.
To me the principles and practice of chivalry is brilliant. How hard is it to open a door, lay down a coat, or pick up a tab? yet at the same time it speaks volumes in respect and admiration. To me the few that get away with expecting it are of no consequence, if at least one person gets the point the price is paid.
I think to discount chivalry is to oversimplify the issue. Humans aren't a bunch of equal blobs of organic matter, and the worst of us have values outside of our monetary an property worth. You need more then one player in the game, but the point is still to have fun in the end.
