Never heard of that before.
Exact graphics card?
Exact error message?
Tried re-installing NS?

Critical close error, "Too many decal surfaces", Close. ?

Most odd.

Does it matter what map you play on? Try playing on a small custom no-texture map. Like a siege or co. Less decals. I don't have a definite solution but I'd recommend a reinstall of NS just to eliminate the possibiltiy of corrupted files.

Try setting cl_decals to a lower number. Default is 300. The 6800 shouldn't have a problem with decals and such though, unless your computer is bottlenecking it or something.

You're typing cl_decals in the console right? You can also go into Options > Advanced and set the decals to a lower number.
