Oh Man,
<div class="IPBDescription">I lucked out on this one...</div> Got a job a Best Buy right? At the Tech Bench working on computers. Which is cool enough by itself. But today (my first day) my boss tells me some stuff. He starts off with how normally people would need 4-6 years of experience to get the job I got. I'm 18 and just started college (computer science), I've worked at Wendy's, and a golf course washing carts. My new boss then says he has over 50 other applications, people who have graduated college, and know a lot more stuff then me. He said he hired me because I don't have an ego like all those college grads, and that I can learn everything from scratch.
How awesome is this?? It's like a dream job for me. And a dream opportunity too. I was exctatic when I got a job at such a cool store. But after I got told all that, I freakin pinched myself!
I'm not trying to bragg or anything, but this is just like, whoa!

If i was enjoying the job i probably wouldn't be too bothered about the pay.
Think about it, most jobs nowadays people hate with a passion.
Finding a job you ENJOY is quite rare
1. Listen to what your boss has to say and respect his decisions. He's been around much longer than you.
2. Don't be afraid to make suggestions. If you see something you think should be different, ask if you can make it better.
3. Any interaction you have with a customer is critical. You see them all day - they may only see you once. First impressions are very important.
4. Approach any machines you're working on as if they were your own. It may take some time, but people around you will definately notice.
Good luck!

Hehe, yeah. Thats something I've always wanted. Pay is not gonna matter as much (even though it is quite good). I must have done something right though, considering on only my 3d job ever I found something that I'm really gonna like.
