NS_Ecliplse's, RR and Comp. Core Same?
Lately I've been looking over all maps, and I just realized that Ns_Eclipse's Ready Room and Hive Location; Computer Core look identical in structure, a light cover up in detail. Main real difference is that Ready Room has stairs, and Computer Core is handicap friendly with a indoor swimming pool. Is it just me or has everyone already noticed this?

the old readyroom was a hall with a few wide entrances, not too much fun at all.
well i dont know... that indoor swimming pool through me off

They were also both created by KungFuSquirrel! Surely this must be a "quencidence"?

Lazy mapping? "Quencidence"? Who knows.

Never actually realised that! See, this thread isn't as useless as it seems. Werd up JazzX
actualy funny enough, the power went out just before i could post the second one (but it was only out for a split second [bad storm in atlanta])
The same applies to deciding to use the old Eclipse MS as a hive in Veil. I was stumped for a decent place, then realized I had an area people did seem to enjoy for some reason, so I made some quick infestation tweaks and attached it. I'd also considered some old pre-1.0 eclipse hive arrangements, but didn't think any of those were still up to par at the time. Re-use of content is sure a great way to get stuff done!
So. Hopefully that puts that to rest. Laziness. Pah, I say, pah!

Wow you play with some high **** gamma.
EDIT: just noticed the p.s.
lol
Anyways, the RR for most maps is taken out from a room or location from the actual map itself. Just that no one bothered to make a note of it.
Engine Room hive in ns_bast and the hive room in co_core are also identical.

Actually those brightness settings are really impossible to see, even if I were that lame to use them, it would make the marines bright as well which eventually ends up in me wearing sunglasses while playing NS.
Also, you probably mean co_angst.
Finally, ViPr, I'm not sure if this is correct, but I believe co_angst was one of the first (if not the first) combat map ever made. It was made in a hurry of some sort so they used the same architecture from ns_bast. Definitely intentional. (and you're right, the creator of ns_bast did leave the community. what was his name again? started with an R is all I remember)
I never realized that before, that's pretty darn cool! Nice tough KungFu.
