<b>A.:</b> The NS team and Valve programmers have successfully adapted NS to work under My Games and it has been tested there by some of our PTs. Valve and the NS team are currently trying to negotiate terms for releasing NS to the public My Games list.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
We're still working on getting them to throw the switch.

Therefore, be patient. Don't use the jump to conclusions mat just yet.
Good point - look at that stupid 2D shooter they released for free over Steam...
Yeah, it was announced... i think almost a year ago that SvenCoop would be the first on the MyGames list. I don't think it really applies anymore, though.
(From Jan 2004)
"Erik Johnson from Valve has been making some progress with getting Sven Co-op 3.0 onto Steam, hopefully that'll be up sometime soon. He's been really busy lately, so it's understandable that we're not on Steam just yet."

I asume when they say "another", that is the earlier title they are referring to.

Let alone "new game" in the lines. NS is not "new", so this may seem to apply to a totally different game. Maybe NS could be "new" to other people, but in the end, it's been around for a while. Like I said before, we'll have to wait and see.
Hmm..

Well, judging from NS, Sven Co-Op, and Firearms standing in the community and in relation to Valve, are very tightly knit compared to most other mods.
If they were to do only ONE, then that one would most likely be NS, otherwise, I would release all three at the same time over the 'My Games' Steam listing.
Then again, they don't say anything about it being a mod at all. It could be SiN. It could be anything.
That's what I was thinking, since Ritual already announced they were distributing the episodes over Steam.

Erik's a busy guy... it doesn't suprise me that Sven Co-op would still be waiting 20 months later. Flayra first went to the Valve offices to set up NS for Steam 3 years ago.
The reason we hoped we'd finally get on My Games recently was that we worked directly with Alfred Reynolds from Valve to set up some of the PTs with My Games NS... it's actually sitting on the Steam content servers, but Valve doesn't think it makes business sense to allow NS on My Games right now. Hence negotiations.

Well he's pretty much correct that it makes no business sense at all... Allowing copious amounts of bandwidth to be used on a game that isn't owned by them and has a sequel under development by a totally different company? What's in it for them?
