    LAN servers are restricted to local clients (class C).

    =((( What to me to do?

    I download NS 3.0.5

    You downloaded 3.0.5?

    Just get the normal client 3.0 <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns/view?action=files' target='_blank'>http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns/view?action=files</a>

    3.0.5 is only for servers.

    download ns 3.0 and install it ( not ns 3.0.5 )

    open up steam

    click 'servers'

    click on the 'internet' tab

    click 'change filters'

    in the 'game' drop down menu select 'Natural Selection'

    optional: in the 'location' drop down menu select the continent you live in

    click 'refresh all'

    watch as servers start appearing in the window

    click on one (with people preferbaly) and click connect

    that should cover enough to stop you asking questions

    If you don't have steam, then thats not the error you should be getting when trying to join a server :o

    But I guess there are still many people who will download NS and play LANs with the sierra installation of half-life, so that would explain things.

    Do you have a copy of HL1 bound to your steam account?
    Did you install NS to the correct location? ([SteamDir]\SteamApps\username\half-life\)

    The bottom line: Read the installation guide for installing NS... you wouldn't have this problem if you'd just read the instructions instead of flying forward blindly.
