[NS:S] Kharra Eyes

<div class="IPBDescription">Kharra Eyes refract light like predatory felines</div>Whenever you shine a light at a lion or cat their eyes seem to glow weirdly. This would be really cool if a marine was in a dark area and they shone the light on the skulk or onos or w/e and these haunting eyes glow right back.

If the Kharra's eyes could be made ouf of the same modeling/texture process that the stained glass in HL2:Lost Coast is made out of with a light-reflecting material behind then this could be done.

well perhaps you can make their eyes glow a colour if they're moving or attacking... but their eyes remain dead when still or cloaked...

Definitely like this idea, I actually had a similar one for a long time. My idea was to make the alien eyes actually move around or blink. Really make them seem more... real.

How spooky would it be to see an aliens glowly eyes blink in the dark?

EDIT: However they decide to do this, they definitely need some sort of shader effect on the eyes <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />. I'm thinking of the vortigant from HL2.

Agree that would be a pretty cool effect

maybe the same shader effect that's used for the 1337 T model in CS:S since it reflects lights...

    A simple, effective suggestion.

    I like.

It would certainly add to the graphics and look quite realish seeing something blink in the dark

lol, now i need to wait for a marine to walk by and have a bunch of skulks pile on top of eachother to have that classic glowing eyes in a cave look ^-^

    Dang. This was my idea.

As far as I'm concerned, this is going in.
