<div class="IPBDescription">Whats yours?</div>I know this is gonna be hard, but you gotta choose only one. Also, list 3 games(or as many as you can) from them, to give people an idea who their dealing with.
For starters...
My favorite studio is the Sony Proprietary Game Development Studio. AKA, the 1st-party maker. Not because I love Sony- out of all the companies in fact, I hate them the most. But, you can't deny some of the most important games of our time:
God of War
Ico
Shadow of the Collossus
Thats just a list you cannot beat. In any way. Even VALVe has said that if there was a company they'd like to get funding from, it'd be Sony- because they understand what art as games MEANS.
And if anyone goes to point out that God of War was not developed in the same studio as Ico & SotC, remember that they trade people like crazy between the 5 teams, and with 2 of these, 3 of the 5 teams were working on one at a time(except Ico, which was only from a singular team).

I played strcraft for a while, Warcraft3 was addicting, but above all else, they have gotten $13 out of me every month for like a year and a half... That's a lot of bloody money now that I think about it...
Then Digital Illusions. They brought us the Battlefield games, and although they are all so similar, they are fun as hell, and have a pretty good mooding community. Then again, that's probably the only good games they have...

but seriously, Valve. then blizzard as a close second.
Now, Blizzard. They are up there, but I don't hold them to the same level as most people. Since starcraft, I haven't played much of their games. Diablo II, same old. WC3. Yawn (for me!). WoW, another MMO grind fest (I don't play any MMO's). I had sunk huge hours into SC and WC2, but nothing since so they have slipped a bit for me.

A few years ago, I would have probably put valve down, but in the past years they have released complete crap, only it looks fancy.
Edit - Those aren't in order, they are just the ones who I can attribute most of my gaming experience too, and I forgot to add Bitmap Brothers too.

EA and Microsoft have Development Studios that share their name(Much like Sony does).
Next to that... probably Lucasarts, for the Monkey Island games (of which MI1 was the first PC game I played, ever).
For multiplayer though, gotta be valve. I only really play their stuff online (and not much else recently). But valve are an obvious choice really.

Well, there are at least three on eBay, but they're fetching a pretty high price.
I can't believe I forgot Lucasarts. The only problem with them is that they started going really, really far downhill, while Looking Glass was great right up until the end.

Blizzard took a part of my life something like 5 years ago, when I begon to play Diablo II, then Lord of Destruction and Warcraft III ; that was sweet. After that I geeked on WoW for approx. 6 month <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" /> I'm still playing WoW :/ And WOW IS EVIL guys !! xD If you don't have a girlfriend there isn't any problem ; if you've got one, don't play WoW <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
Of course, I played NS for a long time, after LOD and before WoW, instead of WCIII sometimes, or instead of WoW when I was bored. NS has got the best gameplay I ever seen !!
Finally, they're is certainly FlagShip above everyone, with Hellgate:London xD It's not released atm, but it should be a really good game and you'll all love it, imo <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
