For the feedback. Timing with music and video was really good except when the piece changed. And repetition isn't really good imo. The stillimages were brilliant except some were overly photoshopped and some were repeating.
And ns sounds in fragmovies, dunno about that. Sometimes it really worked, sometimes it didn't.
The only real weakness was the ending with Final Countdown. Just ..in the lack of better word.. *removed* and well repeating. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
Butt.. Altogether it was really worth to watch. Recommended.
But hey no bloopers, this must be the the ultimate proof of american arrogancy! j/k
Did you code them yourself, jmms?
More than that, is it vac proof? The last one I heard of was sadly not =/
Not one of the better NS movies I've seen, but then again NS isn't very good for frag movies.
I enjoyed the movie. And despite the conservative editing, there were some cool tricks in it (aimbot in spec mode? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> ). And kudos for the ingame-sound. That's a lot of work (unless you captured with fraps :X).
BTW: The FPS are the biggest technical flaw. I read your comment on nsplayer, but didn't really understand it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />. But generally i would dare to claim that 40fps is evil per defenition <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> .
But however, kudos for the great movie. I really can't understand the rants going on at nsplayer. NS has so few movies, and most of them are so much better than the average cs-movies out there (which are like 10000times more).
it was funny to see the teamework, to see that everybody seems to know where he has to stand
great effect
i guess you need hltv-demos for that?
so if i would make demos of me playing i am not able to reproduce that effect?
Your computer sucks <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> Download the LQ version <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> Updating your codecs is a waste of time, it's all built-in with VLC
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->A small tip: mplayer has released a windows version, which supports all important codecs natively, and runs even faster than the vlc.

Thanks for the mplayer tip, I'll check it out in 10 years when I release another frag movie LoL~~! Yeah, ingame sound was a ton of work. All video was captured using startmovie, and all sound was captured using fraps. Thanks for the review, those nsplayer guys are complete morons. "Epitome of mediocrity" --WTH??
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->really, the greatest scenes were the ones fom commanderview, or from above

Apparently you can load an HLTV server and (because HLTV supports demo playback for viewers) load your own POV and you'll get a semi-functional HLTV demo. I'm pretty sure you can only freelook stuff around your player though. Haven't tried it personally, and I didn't have enough time to anyways.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->The video was good from what I was able to watch. Is it really necessary to use a codec that requires so much processor power to decode? I have a relatively old Athlon XP 2100+ that hasn't presented any problems in games but it maxes out running this video and VLC pretty much crashes when I try to close it. Kinda sad when you can get it to run better by actually rendering it than watching the video...<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Yeah, sorry. D/l the LQ version and live with the terribad quality <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
I do feel that it's way too long thought, esp. since you're reusing clips that were used in the old exigent movie (pain user leaping at via, pain user in nano from 2.1, froggeh shotgun on origin, double fade sg kill).
I don't really like the music either, but I guess that's only a matter of taste.
Oh, and regarding the performance, mplayerc couldnt handle it (post-processing turned off), VLC could though. Ill give it a go in mplayer and see how it performs.
Oh and btw, I loved that scene on caged where 5 exi skulks rock terror. That footage was awesome from third person!
<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />
- Too Long
- No Sync with music
- Horrible Gamma/Saturation
- Average frags
- Footage reused from earlier movie
I think that sums it up ....
Just look in the Download section...
sometimes i bored and i watch you guys on HLTV
Jmms i thought it was the best NS frag video ever made. And I hope you guys come back someday. I cant stand watching you play CS. lol

Are you joking? This video was horrible. Sure the content was good, but everything else let it down to the max. Props to jmms for being bothered to look through that ridiculous amount of demos - but the end result is ultimately lacking. It looks like it's just been thrown together with some music on top.
