Killing Fades With No Upgrades And Lmg

Can this be done? I have noticed(as i am sure most people have) that fades are a pain in the **obscenity** to kill now. Especially when you are a wimpy little marine with a light machine gun. The only way I have tried to do it alone is to hide in a dark corner and when one walks by empty a clip in his back and either knife his **obscenity** or empty a pistol clip into him but that is less then effective. The only other solution i see is to take a gang of marines and just maul it, but then again its pretty easy to kill all the marines with a few acid rockets in an enclosed space. Now im sure the sollution some of you offer will be to not let them get two hives, but when they do get 2 hives the games that I have been in marines have lost 9 out of 10 times. Can anybody else offer a better way to kill fades? And im sorry if there is already a thread about this, but I am lazy.

Or to be more acurate, All three of you switch to Hand-guns, Plug him full of handgun clip
Handgun Clip=200 damage x 300=600 Damage even Caprence they die
Pistol is much more fun to fight the Fade, being they're large targets and you have pretty much pinpoint accuracy with one. However, I have my doubts that three pistol clips would kill a level 3 Carapace Fade.
Untill they parallze you. It is becoming more comin to see Ohno's using this ability.
If your in a small group fighting a Fade, spread out. I don't know how many times I've killed 3 marines at once because they were all too close togeather while I acid rocketed them.
No. Your team needs to.
LMG x 7 = Death.
But, even with the HMG you still have to get med/close distance to get most of your shots too land. A fade at a distance is just as bad as a fade in your face.
I personally like the shotgun. It will put down a fade in 2-3 (2 shots do 320 dmg if all BBs land) shots at close range. The problem is the close range. WHACK WHACK....sliced and diced.
I always try and get other marines to follow me. I figure 3 marines against a fade SHOULD win, if they can follow the fade and not let it regenerate. Remember fades can only attack for so long before their weapons bar is empty.
If you have the resources, Jet pack and Shot gun it. Close combat, but jet pack's should help you get there, and a shot gun does 160 damage un upgraded at point blank, expect to do around 100, that is 3 shots of 10 rounds. Fully upgraded they do what, 280, I think below that. Well, do the math.
EDIT - content of message changed to remove questionable word placed by accident
Dont bother trying to take out a fade as an unarmored lmg marine by yourself....if it does happen that fade must not be full hp,hes either afk or typing or hes EXTREMELY stupid.
The problem isn't your gun, it's your tactic.
You let them run away and heal and never fully kill them.
Finish the job. Don't let them run away.
It can be easy to take down a regenerating fade with an lmg if you know what you are doing and are a little lucky.
The fact of the matter is that an upgrade lmg will cause 500 damage if every bullet from one clip hits. 2 lmgs will kill an Onos.
It takes 3 acid rockets to kill an upgraded marine (even if they are all nearby splash damage hits). So the whole idea is to catch a fade off-guard and empty your clip at point blank range.
This works best when a fade chases another marine or retreats into a vent where he has to duck down. You come up behind the fade and just let it rip. Near the feedwater hive in bast is a good place to try this, as there is a short passageway which requires the fades to duck to crawl through. Jump down into there after them and you will come out better off. That's why when the marine base is under attack I don't even bother to load up on ammo anymore. I know I'll die during the reload animation when I run out of my first clip (kharaa like to capatalise on your reloading), so why waste time loading up? With that first clip, if you are lucky enough to catch a fade hiding in a corner you can really munt them up. If they fire acid rockets at you they will hurt themselves, it often takes time for a fade to recollect himself from the shock of being rushed and reminding himself to switch weapons and do something about you...
With practise, and some balls, you will learn how to trap fades into your kill zone (even the lmg is very innacurate, your effective kill range with one clip is about a gap of two marines inbetween you and the fade if you keep your aim dead on the fade the whole time). You just have to figure out how to catch the fade while he cant move much.
Scenerio: Far Distance...Fade can Acid Rocket
-repeat 3 times and your un-upgraded body will cease to exist
-splash dmg will hurt you if not the whole rocket
-LMG is very inaccurate at that distance
-stay away from walls so if this is a small hallway, ur reallie screwed
Close Distance....Melee=80 dmg
-WHACK WHACK= dead marine and no other option
Either rush him when he just used all his energy on acid rockets and u magically survived with enough life and gun ready and reloaded to hit him before he has his bar back
...OR...
be a SMART marine which is an oxymoron (lol..correct me if my grammar terms are off for something that contradicts itself like MicroSoft Works). cough* or be a smart marine and rape that Fade in a group. a group u say?! which would highly be unlikely since marines like to act like rambo and die 5 seconds later with fresh HA/HMG. or they just get scared and don't rush with u and then the scenerio comes back up where he close combats you and ....WHACK WHACK. ...you like respawning don't u?
As long as you are in any situation where they cant move much, and they aren't expecting you, and un-upgraded lmg marine has the upper hand.
Unlike all the other aliens, the fade's strength (only applies to the inexperienced fades who dont switch weapons much) is in keeping away from you. Close the gap and you'll close them down.
You need something like 40-45 of your bullets to hit the fade, so try to picture how close that is, and how little the fade must be moving.
Once, as a fade, I was rocketing some marine turrets. One by one, marines in heavy armor came after me and I chopped through 3 of them before going down. They only showed up one at a time, so that made them easy kills, but THREE marines with HA seems like a lot for one alien to kill without any regenerating. Hell, they can walk right up to a turret and whack it to death without even worrying about dying. Fades seem to croak a lot quicker in mathland then they ever do in real games, which makes me wonder if something's wrong.
how can 2 hives be the end...... i mean i was bein CO... havin LVL 2 armor and weapons.. welders... armor.. health... almsot evyerhting...
but then how can a few fades be the end?? they can so easily kill a base... its not funni
maybe its jus the marines that weren't good... im not sure.. maybe i suck... i admit... i didn't have hotkeys so it was a bit harder.. .but still.... yeah maybe i need a bit work on my CO skills... and i should get that mic up and running
