Close to NSR's last depression, we had future plans for NSR and what UWE might bring us. Who knows.. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />

When exactly was nsradio cancelled? Was it during the last downtime?
<!--quoteo(post=1572197:date=Nov 1 2006, 07:10 PM:name=Drummer)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Drummer @ Nov 1 2006, 07:10 PM) </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec--> nsradio died. hopefully with the site and forums back, there will be renewed interest and it might start again <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> Do you still have recordings? I'm specifically looking for the Season 8 finals shoutcast.
NS radio died in large part because of lack of listeners. Lack of listeners frustrated the dj's until they had lost many of them and it wasn't plausible to keep running. If NSR gets back up, the best way to support it is listening regularly, or at least pretending to.
[edit] btw the fft site is mostly dead too... Most of us don't play much NS any more, really the only one you'll catch regularly is me or maby Kevlar.
You can find a good portion of the old FFT radio things here: <a href="http://www.readyroom.org/component/option,com_docman/Itemid,28/" target="_blank">http://www.readyroom.org/component/option,...cman/Itemid,28/</a>
Music for songs Skits for all their other audio fun.
How times have changed. A year ago I produced nsR's Halloween Bash / Monster Mash NS 3rd birthday party that found Flayra and Cagey as guests, which drew well over 100 listeners.... ... .. . meh.
I work like 98743209482 hours a week so I have been strapped to do new NS stuffs <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" /> they even force me to wear... to wear... pants when I am there!

unless someone knows a way to get a free shoutcast host, nothings gonna be done about reviving nsradio. its bandwidth requirement is more than any group of djs can handle. and nsradio didnt die from lack of interest, it died from sabotage

sad but true. NSR's golden days are behind it, unless it had huge community reinforcement behind an upbringing, theres not a whole lot we can do.
other than that: MOOGLE! You workaholic! i need to catchup with you sometime mang!
i mean, i would certainly love to bring back nsradio if we could. it might have a chance to work, since the site and forums are back, the competitive community pretty much reset itself. if we can get a shoutcast server, count me in <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

I still think that the height of NSRadio was NS2.0 release day.
Downloading NS2.0 as soon as it was released, then playing it while listening to NSRadio for the next few hours was one of the greatest gaming experiences i've ever had. The interviews, the music, the DJing...
I think it might have hit 200 listeners that day O_o
I also miss Chalupamonk's always entertaining DJ sessions with some of the best and most obscure music i've ever heard.
Or when I first started listening to NSRadio and there was enough of a following to totally flood the channel with "BANG BANG BANG!" in time with the GroupX song. Ah, the memories.
hell i had it linked through parts of my house just so i could here it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" /> those were the good ol days of NS, but i feel better days are sneeking around the corner <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skulk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::skulk::" border="0" alt="skulk.gif" />
A number of things, all of which don't really need to be discussed here. Its over and done with, and unless you have a DeLorean equipped with a Flux Capacitor, then we can't change what happened. However, like Drummer said, got a server you wanna donate, let him or me know!
