I also get it often. Is there any more permanent fix, or a script that can do it automatically without having to switch screens?

If you are talking about CL_FlushEntityPacket, there is a few things you can do, lower your rate & lower your cl_updaterate and see what happens. If you go in the console and type net_graph 3, you'll have a graph appearing on the bottom right, if there is a lot of red stuff, go in the console and type rate 7000, if it doesn't help, try rate 6000 & if you still have a lot of red in your net_graph, try lowering your cl_updaterate at like 50 to begin with, then go lower.. if you are on dialup, your rate should be around 3000-5000, not more and your cl_updaterate should be at around 25-35.. I'm on ADSL and have my rate at 8000 and cl_updaterate at 55 and have no problems but when I start having troubles with like spike & stuff like that, I'll lower both variables and see if it goes better.
