  Is it just me or does Moultano have an intriguing lifestyle? Because I know this isn't the first time he's posted pictures of his trips. And they always seem incredible.

  i actually went to maui a few months back for a wedding. Damn its pretty much paradise there. and everyone is so laid back and relaxed :o

  This was on the Big Island (Hawaii). We backpacked in volcanoes national monument on the south side of the island, and in waimanu valley on the northern side. We also did a day hike in between nearly up to the summit of Mauna Loa from the observatory.

  Nope, that was just a Canon S410. Some of them are my roommate's shots and I'm not sure what type of camera he was using. I've been continually impressed with the Canon compacts. I'm not a very talented photographer by any means, and the shots always seem to come out pretty well.

  It was awesome. It's really an amazing place. I think the most amazing thing about the big island was probably the variety of ecosystems there. Everything from volcanic desert, to rainforest, to deciduous forest, to beach, to high alpine scrub, to what I can only describe as "mordor" is there somewhere on the island.

  Wow, some amazing pictures. I'd love to go to Hawai once... been on Kreta a couple of months ago (that's a Greek Island for all the non Europeans here). It was very relaxing <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
  
  Sadly, I only have one good picture of that trip (which I took myself), but this one is pretty good. I just shouldn't let my friends handle the cam, they just can't seem to get it right. Also, these pics make for great wallpapers <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
