Obscure Rediculous Ideas?

<div class="IPBDescription">Anyone have some?</div>So, with all the nifty things and physics in HL2/Source, anyone have any really cool, but probably infeasible/rediculous ideas?
Just coming up with some myself:
A marine weapon that would be a sort of force gun/inertial dampener sort of thing. Something that could just stop a skulk in mid-leap, do no damage, but prevent him from moving up. Would be worthless when alone, but could be a valuable asset in a team. Could promote teamwork, cratering enemys for humiliation, and all sorts of other fun things! *has no idea.*
Some delay based weapon(s) for aliens? Maybe not infeasible, but for example, think lerk spines, but far slower firing(more energy cost), that sticks to the wall/target, then 2-3 seconds later explodes shrapnel style? Great to force marines to charge a position instead of using their ranged attacks only!
Deformable Physicis Terrain: Onos? Shoot a pipe off the ceiling onto him or to block his way! Marines got yah' down? Chew through the bridges! Highly improbably but would be fun/amusing to see in the game.
And of course:
A Scorpian that Hovars without Flapping. Period.

The marine weapon sounds neat; it might need a very long recharge or something, but you could drag the enemy around for 10 seconds or so -- long enough to take them to a turret, let a teammate shoot them, or drop them down into a dark hole.

The second has been bounced around all over the forums in a variety of fashions but all of these ideas can be found in more than 1 thread, just use the search and it will show you the way.....just like the yellow book and pizza.
Read up johnny, better than cool suds and a surf board......well maybe better than a surf board.
Imagine fade-blink in combination with creating and using portals which only the fade can actually see in-game.

I can't stop toying with this idea <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
but it's important to keep it easy on performance and balance so I thought about this:
-One alien can create portals on walls (3rd or 4th weapon) and I'd like to see the fade or lerk doing this or some other mobile, supportive alien.
-There can only be created two portals at once , both entrance and exit, and you can see the other side through them like in "portals".
-The portals stay for, rough said, 20-30 seconds and their appearance starts to change the last 5 seconds.
-There has to be a max. distance between both portals (max ~500 Units?) to avoid deeper balance issues.
-All aliens can see and use the portals, marines can only see a ~90% invisible portal without being able to watch through it on the other side.
-Observatory doesn't effect the portal, but a scanner sweep in range destroys it and thus both portals.
-Both teams can't shoot through them on the other side??

Hm, if I think playing on the Alienteam...mh no..ur right, shouldnt be allowed ^^
( for those that dont know its sort of like ghost mode, you can walk through walls and floors, hence you dont clip to the map )
example gorge creates a portal on a wall when any entity enters the portal would they receive noclip, they can move around outside the map when they re-enter the map they clip.
Hehehe ever seen the movie who framed roger rabbit. the portals would be like those acme black holes. A Gorges in a dead end, trapped with no where to go. marines bearing down on him. gorge throws up a black hole and disappears hahahahahahahahahahah
Either way its a major balance issue. onos would just enter marine spawn out of the roof. but technically the codings could be done.
maybe it could be an ability for gorges only, like a burrowing ability maybe they could ammend it so gorges got noclip on infestation/creep that way they can burrow through the infestation.
Portals would be interesting indeed (but they would be fade created/spotted/used only, and probably only while the fade was blinking)
This would add atmosphere to the game because aliens could select creepy sounding songs to creep marines out and marines could select bad*** songs like <a href="http://www.sirgalahad.org/paul/doom/mp3/e1m1.mp3" target="_blank">e1m1</a> to get an adrenaline rush and just run through the map with shotguns and catpacks and pwn things.
In every map, there should be a computer screen around the middle on the map. The screen has a selection of all the Doom 1 music files and they can be selected to play all throughout the map or on the "PA" system on the ship.
