<div class="IPBDescription">anyone play it?</div>gothics 1 and 2 were teh awesome, but I hear the 3rd one is way buggy and has more restrictive system requirements than like oblivion and hl2 combined. still, gothics 1 and 2 were among the elite few games I actually finished, and gothic 2 is probably one of like 5 games ever that I deemed worthy of playing through more than once...
anyone buy it and have any reviews?

Edit: Edited out the first link as the second contains it.
Sounds effects = priceless. But in the bad way.
Looks like crap, runs like crap, plays like crap. The unforgiving element of the previous games are there (Slightly off the beaten track? SPLATTERED BY WOOOOOLVES), in general it's a horrible, horrible game. Thank god i still have Oblivion.
I think i gave it about an hour of my time. In short, it's cack.

Oblivion is balls. Stick to Morrowind tbh.
It is essentially slaying through loads of annoying monsters to collect some items, then you turn them in, get some mighty powers and own the boss. Because of the mentioned loads of quests, you will probably be something around level 60, some mighty wizard who kills everything with at most 3 spells and who can also just pull out his swords to own the monsters which did not die in the first place.
After killing said boss, you get the cheapest outro in RPG-history (around 10 pictures (!) with text, depending on which boss you killed).
But I still have to say it's way better than Oblivion (which reminded me of some post-nuke scenario - the world was as lifeless as a grave) in points of gameplay, even more extreme in points of hardware requirements and equally as boring in the end.
But in the meantime, it was actually quite fun to play, so if you can get your hands on a cheap copy (friend, whatever), I would recommend you test it... but don't you dare not installing the patches; unspeakable doom will rain unto thou <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
