Too bad I can't take any zombie games or movies seriously after seeing Shaun of the Dead.
They got lots of zombie classes if I remember. The ones you see in the movies are basic ones. They have ones that cause like, psychic ranged damage. Ones that throw fire, ones that run but do weaker damage, but they also infect the player or something. They also have floaters that disorient the player when running near them and slow them down.

Now THAT sounds exciting. I take it back, the second halloween video had some seperate zombie classes that looked interesting.
I'm kinda hoping the zombie side can tech up.
The way the zombies slide along a few inches above the ground glitching through a shuffle animation doesn't look all that enticing :/
Why is it that a desent pistol is so hard to do, just right, for most mods?

Atleast he doesn't have clay rendered berettas in the media section.
Is it just me or are RTS/FPS hybrids the new CS clone? They stopped being cool when everyone made them.

I'd say the old CS clones are now the now the new Natural Selection clones. Now, I'm not saying they've copied NS or copied any of the mods that "copied" NS. Obviously it's hard to ignore awesome ideas like a RTS/FPS hybrid game, I'm just saying since NS practically introduced the idea of RTS/FPS into HL mods, we should take much credit.
Also, this sounds like that one mod where one player is the commander and controls AI units while the other team are all human players. Now I think they copied that mod!
Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for zombies. I've seen all the movies and read all the books. I'm sure the mod will be fun, and the commander thing will create a really strategic element. In the end however it'll still most likely remind me of Brainbread, or any other zombie mod (apart from zombie panic, which owned big time).
EDIT: RustySpoon ZP was more of a survival Zombie mod.
His lack of aim and solidarity in that movie makes it laughable to watch.

Here's what I would do.
1. Preset # of zombies per map
2. no manipulations
3. limited weapons/ammo
4. plenty of hiding spots for zombies
5. Make zombies superhuman strong.
No HUD? ;>

It doesn't look like they have accomplished... anything. I remember hearing about that mod BEFORE HL2 came out...
And they have clay rendered berettas in their media section.

I think you just described No More Room in Hell quite accurately <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />
The site looks very outdated. They've got some of their latest PT shots though on the front and the mod team does seem to work quite slow. As I believe they're looking for an early 07 release.

Better to work slow and release something fairly finished, than work fast and release something that is really poor off the bad.
It's a cliche I know, but you only get to make a good first impression once.

Meh, no HUD wouldn't really make much of a difference, actually would be annoying to people.
Remember Hostile Intent?
Well, there wasn't a need for a HUD in Hostile Intent as:
1. 3 shots(or less) usually kill you
2. You'll rarely ever use up all your ammo, unless you shoot at nothing. Remember 3 shots or less is able to kill anybody.
3. Supporting #1, if you're spotted first, you'll almost always die.
Multiplayer/Co-op zombie survival games always gets out. After a day of playing, you'll know where everything and what everything is, you're tired of just running around in circles and holding left click, etc.
Story type MP/Co-op zombie games usually ends up with a player yelling at you for not giving him the bullets, or yelling at other people, then someone dying and the player yelling at them, then they die and they tell at the players some more. Really destroys the experience, and it's actually really tedious.
Zombies are just so old, we need Kharra survival games. You and 7 other people must fend against skulks, gorges, lerks, fades, onos, and lorks on the clorfs for many seconds.
First of all, you and 7 other people must make it to the com chair with only a pistol, a welder, a knife, and some garlic to ward off vampire skulks and vampire gorges away.
Getting to the com chair won't be easy, first you must go through web infested places, offense chamber infested places, gorge infested rooms, and the com chair is in a hive room.
7 marines must charge in, and someone must get into the com chair before it's destroyed, one marine will find an area to relocate the com chair and the marine base too.
And once you relocate, something happens... Fortunately you have your friends back as the commander managed to build three IPs to spawn your friends, but unfortunately, the commander has been infested by the will of the gorges and are now on their side.
You'll find out that the IP suddenly starts warping in aliens, and the armories explode, and the com chair infested the marine inside it.
Now, six of you(two people went into a com chair and were infested), must fend against the kharra, and locate some sort of communication system and call for backup.
That was the original plan AFTER setting up marine base to help defend themselves, but now you must do this and survive for 30 minutes without being able to hump the armory, without any upgrades, without any shirtguns, or ladders to trap fades in!
