"Mouse Lag"

<div class="IPBDescription">Only on beta</div>I've been having random mouse laggs where the mouse would just stop and act as if I has very low frames, but still see a fade come up to me and slash me with no problem, and still maintaining a good frame speed.
Let alone the mouse being slow for only a few seconds, the firing is also laggish.

I have tried different mice, even the ones with balls and that are not usb.

note, this doesn't happen on the none beta version.

I'm note sure, but I have the graph showing at the bottem left, and I don't have any choke problems happening. thought this might help some.

    You have an ATi card? go to www.omegadrivers.net and download drivers from there, install them and all of ur problems will be gone, worked for me!

    Maybe its the mouse and keyboard lags that come from the 25th october HL1 Engine Update...

    I use a geforce card, and ill check the link, and for the hl1 engine update, why isnt it effecting me on other hl1 games? like the ns that isnt beta?

    Geforce? don't know if those drivers will work for u then :O but i'd give it try if i was you because they sure did work for me!
    I'm going back to the official drivers though when valve (or the NS team) has fixed this crap.

    I figured it out, and ill put short, if you need more info, just ask.

    had dual monitors, went single, badda boom, problem arose.
    re-enabled second monitor, though i don't have it connected to the card, and it runs fine, at least for now lol.

    now, got another question, but optional lol
    How did this effect it? just for future reference or could find a work around.

    i dont know why that would happen.. i only have 1 monitor.. all i can say is try the omegadrivers, it worked for me just the way i wanted so.. good luck <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

    Dual monitors as in NS is spread on both of them or 1 has ns and you can micro IRC/MSN Messenger at the same time?

    Did u remove the old drivers? it's really important that you have NOTHING left of your old drivers before installing the new omega drivers!

    No, I don't do that, I only use the second monitor to use for chatting while I'm surfing the net.
    Otherwise, if I try to chat on msn or something, the game minimizes and if I'm not quick, the game is frozen while minimizes, so when i maximize it, I'm disconnected from the server.

    No, when I set the second video card and enabled second monitor, but no monitor, the game ran for an hour and the mouse acted up again.
    I went to the site, dled the drives, and did what i needed, uninstalled the old ones, restarted and what not, and started the game and everything works now.
    So now I can play for an hour, no prob, otherwise, I'm not on there that long.

    but since it work, my nephews play it for more than hour, average two hours if they are fighting each other over the network, and they have mentioned that the game freezes after an hour if it is the server.
    Oh well, thats another thread to make I guess. (I'm not saying the drivers are effecting it, I never could last over an hour with the mouse lag)
