<div class="IPBDescription">Ah yes, the legendary hidden thingie</div>I know this probably is kicking a dead horse, but I honestly wonder what happened to the famous B.U.S feature that was announced years (that long? omg, I'm getting old!) ago.

I've tried searching and reading the forums, but can't find an updated thread. Has anyone gotten any news or hints? Or even learned what it actually was? Is the system still pending implementation, or has it been canceled / postponed until NS2?

Hopefully, someone will also post some of the mandatory bus-pictures

    Since 3.2 is supposed to be the dead final version of NS, with focus thereafter being shifted to source, maybe they should just tell us.

    Unless they're implementing it in NS:S there's no reason to keep hiding it anymore.

    Long story short; B.U.S -Big Unannounced System- was a system that Flayra & the rest of the NS crew startet working on years ago, quote-ish "One of the most revolutionary and original feature ever implemented in this kind of game". They never got to fully release the system, though the changelog for one of the later releases (3.0 I belive) states that "b.u.s phase 1" was implemented.

    Few people know what bus actually is. Some belive that it is a cross-server battleplatform, where players fight for a global conquest. Others say it's a new alien species/chamber/abillity, or commander/player interface. Or even a new res system / the <a href="http://muhweli.users.paivola.fi/retales/files/6.jpg" target="_blank">scorpian that hoovars without flappin</a> / whatever.

    Or it could be an actual bus flayra tours the world in picking up NS players and throwing NS parties. The other name for the BUS, Nexus, seems abit strange because there is a British bus company called Nexus.....?

    No,no. It is christmas, _the_ time for miracles. Anytime now, Flayra or another person with bus knowledge will post that explains everything.

    I understood it as not being directly NS-related, so it had to be kept under wraps 'til Flayra had everything prepared, or else someone might steal it and make unjustified money.

    I have this odd feeling, that bus aka Nexus, will be fully disclosed, when it is done, aka in NS2, with a promise that they will soon back port it to NS. (for 3.3? at the rate it coming, i would say about NS 5.0 )

    Anyway, it living up to it name, buses are always late.

    Flayra has no further comment on this topic at this time.

    Some speculation about it from time to time can be entertaining to brainstorm, but I worry that excessive speculation & rumours would confuse too many people.
    And I see we're already getting a bit of spammy clutter.
    I'll be locking this now to try and control both issues.
