Melee Attack for Marines

You are in cargo, you kill two aliens. Your down to your pistol ammo which runs out as you kill another skulk. But wait, you turn around and there is another one. WHAT DO YOU DO? Maybe not light marines, but definitely Heavy Armor should have the ability to punch or grab aliens (just skulks probably since their armor isn't thick enough). I mean how many of you actually wanted to use that robotic arms of yours and just punch the skulk so it gets squashed.
I guess you could have both abilities. You could grap the skulk and throw him which would deal no damage except giving you some more time to reload your gun. And as for punch, it should be an instantly kill BUT it would need to be timed correctly because YES you can miss with punches. (Heavies are kinda slow at things) Kinda like in Gears of War, you need a second and a half to rev your chainsaw and time it perfectly to cut the guy.
This is just one of many ideas. It might not be the best one or even balanced, but I would like to see melee combat in some shape or form (Maybe even a light marine kick) rofl.

If you're gonna rip off an HL mod, do it from dystopia, the heavy armored units punch like once every second, but then you hit your target, he just ragdolls across the room.
I mean, the way it works right now is that HA only gives you extra armor and gas protection. But what about strength? Carrying a heavy weapon doesn't show that since lights can carry the same weapons with just as much ease. So Idk.

Actually, I like this idea.
Remove the HA's knife, replace it with a DIFFERENT WEAPON (so light rine still has knife) that does like 100 damage but is a bit slower.

I'm not sure I even want a melee attack. A lone marine (heavy or not) shouldn't be able to solo the entire alien team, so reloading gives him a weak point. If a heavy wanders alone into cargo and is attacked by 4+ skulks at the same time, he should die and never get a heavy from the commander again.

Personally, I agree with Chocolate. HAs looks the business, and do appear to be able to rip a skulk a new one, without breaking a sweat, so why not explore this route? Many people cannot hit a one off attack in melee range anyway, it's just not what an FPS is designed in mind (excepting Morrowind, and Oblivion...).
Explore the extra mechanical strength that waring heavy armour would give you, it's obviously got servos and the like to make it more bearable by the marine, so surely the same servos will give the HA a stronger melee attack, like a punch, or a stronger knife swing
It used to do just a little more damage then the knife. But when it heals AND hurts, you just have heavy trains with no need for actual weapons. (Which is why it was nerfed in the first place.)
The knife is already a terribly effective melee weapon -- especially considering that the ALIENS are the melee team.
I wanna see fades with hmg's. Then you can have your melee.
