TWG has come a long way since I created the very first signup thread here on the NS forums on January 22nd 2005. Almost two years later the game is now celebrating its <i>tenth</i> anniversary with more werewolf killing crazyness than ever! For this game the signups will not actually start until January 6 at 3:00PM EST (I believe that's GMT -5).
At this time I will be accepting the first eight people to post here saying that they wish to signup. At 8:00PM EST the same day the second half of the signups will take place. Only the first nine people to sign up after 8:00 will be accepted into the game. Signups as always are first come first serve, and the only player with a guarenteed slot is the host of the previous game - in this case it's im_lost. When you do signup please post your timezone as well.

TWG game description and rules can be found <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?s=1025390096748882816&showtopic=90852" target="_blank">here.</a> The IRC channel is #ns-twg on irc.gamesurge.net. Here's a general outline for how TWG X will be played:
<b>Number of players: 18
Number of Wolves: 4
Special Roles: Seer, Psychic, Guardian, Investigator
Special Objects: The Artifact</b>
As far as gameplay goes, this game will play like any standardized round of TWG. The wolves will kill at night, everybody battles it out during the day. However this game will have "The Artifact". The Artifact will be a tool that will give a HUGE advantage to the player who holds it. At the start of the game The Artifact will belong to nobody and players will have a chance to claim this prize for themselves. How it will work is that there will be a code that I will set prior to the start of the game, through the stories I will drop several hints as to what the code may be. Simply put, the first player to correctly tell me the code will claim the artifact themselves.
<b>What you know about the artifact</b>
- Whoever holds it will have a huge advantage
- You will know <i>when</i> somebody has claimed the artifact but you will not know <i>who</i> has claimed it (until it's used or dropped)
- It can only be used once
- The only person who knows what the artifact actually does is the player who holds it. He/she can tell the other players if he/she wishes too
- Everybody will know what the artifact does once it's used
<b>What you know about how to get the artifact</b>
- Whisper me the code at the start of the night (It's that simple!)
- The first player that does this gets it (in the event two players correctly message me the code, the first PM I receive will get it)
- There will be hints provided in the story as what the code will be
- I will display a 'game map' of the area the story takes place in. Each player will pick a starting location and will move around the location each night in an attempt to search the rooms for additional clues as to what the code is
- You will be able to see each players movements as well as which player is moving where
- Being the only player to search a room will increase your chance of finding the clue in that room (if there is one to begin with)
- If there are multiple players in the same room only one person will find the clue that night
- The Investigator will <i>always</i> find the clue if there is one in the room
- The Investigator is not a special role on it's own. Any player can be the Investigator including wolves and special human roles
I will post the specific details on how you move about the area in the pregame thread. Hopefully this thread can be sticked (and locked?) until the signups actually begin. Happy hunting!

I live in the EST time zone.
Freak83, I suggest creating alternate spots for people to sign up in when you open the later spots, to avoid problems if someone drops out of the game.

8 slots, Demiguise is on there twice
EST.
here if ya wanna see the thread, just to make sure I covered all the bases.... <a href="http://gpwiki.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=86934#86934" target="_blank">http://gpwiki.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=86934#86934</a>
No one else wants to play?
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
It only requires just 5-10 minutes every two days to play. Even shorter if you just vote for a person and do nothing else.
This is a last call for anyone to fill up the last two slots. If no-one claims them I'm lowering the games playercount to 16 and changing it from 4 wolves to 3 and we're starting.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Why would you have to remove a wolf?
Seeing that the wolfs have yet to have a win, I would think that It would be best to keep them at 4, and just drop the player count.
